A vet would be needed, like said. But, out of curiosity, how long ago was his last shed? I’m just wondering if it’s some kind of buildup (infection, moist or something else) between the skin layers? Or if it coming internally? But only a vet could confirm this.
You did a great job on this buddy, fog is the magic for keeping chameleons 😎. I keep saying this since I setup a good fogging system in the second month of keeping chameleons. Noticed a direct change and never had a dehydration/shedding problem with any chameleon, even the free rangers.
Hahaha, a well known problem with those jumping brats. You could hang a textile sheet inside the cage in front of the door, that prevent them from jumping out, but you can still access the them.
