Yoda scared me earlier today. Found him in a position where he's lifting his nose to the ceiling. Then I realized he was positioning himself in front of the mister to drink and clean his eye. after his automatic mister stopped, he dropped to a normal stance. I then took a handheld mister and...
Seems like they care about animals and specialize in iguanas. https://biobubblepets.com/about-bio-bubble-pets/
Might be worth reaching out to them and askin them to fix issues or just remove.
I don't have any yet! I plan on getting four pullets from a local hatchery. Going to have them for eggs. I had to get a permit for them and still need to build my coop. Just hens, can't do roosters legally.
I know it's something the keepers here have recommended, and precisely why I do it! :) But I don't know how common it is - probably not given how many issues we see here, lack of overall experience in vet community for chameleons, and heck lots of folks in my area don't even do annual checks for...
I'm still giving his meds 2x a day. I think he may like the apple flavor of the milk thistle. He kind of pauses and smacks his mouth together after I give him that supplement.
He has two more weeks of treatment and then bloodwork.
Yeah the chances she got anything on the misting nozzles seems low to me. I don't think I cleaned mine now that I think about it.
It sounds like your girl is having a rough go of it. My boy didn't have runny poos. The best you can do is clean everything to start, swap out branches or pull...
Parasites are common in wild caught chameleons so breeders who get them have quarantine protocols - searching for those in the forums might give you some ideas.
His initial enclosure was actually his baby enclosure! And I only cleaned it at the start, then swapped out paper towels at the bottom of the enclosure daily. So the upkeep for me was fairly easy. Except when the paper towels got saturated by the mister. 😩
Coccidia is contagious through the...
I used my initial enclosure after removing everything, cleaning the entire cage, and replacing with new sticks.
I didn't change out the sticks or pothos during Yoda's quarantine period, but he was pooping in one spot on the floor. I would say just get a bunch of branches and swap them out if...
Hi all,
Took Yoda in for his annual checkup with Dr. Bruce here in Orlando. His bloodwork revealed a liver infection so he's on 4 weeks of Baytril (2x per day) and going to get milk thistle supplements to help with his liver function.
He's been such a great boy for his meds. I credit you all...
Thanks for taking in this lovely girl and giving her a home! It's not surprising she has coccidia if she was out and on her own for a bit. Parasites are just a given in the wild.
Unfortunately as @Beman and @MissSkittles said, you'll have to toss the plants and branches. Anything porous...
