The advice I see here on the forums is it's better to have white lights since chameleon's eyes are sensitive. I think that type might not send the light deep enough either. A LED spotlight plant bulb should do the trick.
Looks like you just have UVB and heat - plants need their own light to thrive so a plant light will help. And you need to make sure they are watered as their species desires, sometimes auto misters don't reach the plants roots.
I also tagged a couple members here to see what they think as well. Good luck!! No matter what happens you have a gorgeous chameleon. Gotta love their feistiness even if it's scary 😭😂
He's beautiful. The only thing you can do is change your behavior. Chameleons generally don't like to be handled and they don't need to be handled. If I were in your shoes I'd do three things. 1) add more plants and foliage so his home feels safer and he's more secure 2) stop opening the door...
Wow that's pretty fascinating. My Veiled associates me with food now so he'll follow me assuming that and gets confused when I don't have food for him. Is that what's going on here? His body posture isn't defensive.
The probe is inside. I have one inside the cage at the floor (away from where it can be sprayed with mist) and one outside the cage to monitor temps in the overall room. You still need to have a way to measure temps at the basking branch separately.

Yeah exactly. They'll break down the soil mix faster. I'd say just keep an eye on the soil and overall setup and if the substrate mix is looking more like worm castings or compost that's the time to add more to the mix. And harvest the substrate for gardening too! :)
I've never used worms so...
Let them do their thang. If it's a new setup probably just going through its fungus cycle.
FYI earthworms are great clean up crew but will aerate and work through the soil so you'll need to top off the soil more frequently than if you just went with isopods and springtails.
A decent layer of...
Bioactive setups do go through a fungus growth spurt early on as they're being established. Provided it's not artillery fungus you should be fine. You have lots of isopods and springtails in the mix?
Oh poor baby girl Pascale 😭 I'm so sorry, makuna honey is a good short term solution while waiting for the vet, but definitely get on the appointment schedule.
