What a thrilling start to 2024. Kemba surprised me this morning with some eggs on the enclosure floor. This is her first clutch. I did try to place her in an egg laying bin 2 days ago but couldn't stand secretly watching her desperately wanting out.
Fingers crossed for the next 7 to 9 months to...
Hi and welcome to the forum. You'll find great people here ready to help. Question, what lighting are you using for uvb and heat? Also if you could provide some photos of your enclosure, this may help. Tagging @Beman as she is awesome and knowledgeable.
Fogging is a great to and the temperature range you have is safe. I would recommend checking the Chameleon academy website @Chameleonacademy.com for caresheets and information about Fogging.
Your 2024 goals are awesome.
Mine:
1. Fecal testing at home
2. continue to learn about chameleons through certain groups and provide support where possible.
3. Design and share more 3D printed projects for enclosures.
4. Source out to get another pair of furcifer lateralis.
Happy new year. I've been using Mistking for 7 years now using filtered water. My system is a under cabinet unit with 2 filters. Only had some small deposits on the nozzle tips over the years. Easy to remove soaking in vinegar. Otherwise the system has been worth every penny.
Made some flower shaped units to hold small cips of Pangea for my Phelsuma Geckos and some turtle Keychains for a rescue fundraiser when I started learning the printer. I recently made a large version of the perch for larger chameleons. Alot of things to make, making to to design is the challenge.
Love watching Kemba using her 3D printed feeder perch. She can easily hold on while enjoying her breakfast buffet. Have a 3D printer or know someone who does? Sign up for the Chameleon academy journal and download the file for free in the December issue. The journal is also my favorite read in...
Thanks for your response. I have seen the isopods as high as 18inches on the branches. Seems the like ficus benjaminin leaves. Although with food on the ground, I don't believe the isopods would bother the cham. I haven't removed him as the cleanup crew is doing their thing. I will be doing a...
