    Fighting Chameleon Parasites with Husbandry

Awesome blog Bill! This is a great resource. One challenge I have seen when talking with a few people about treatment decisions is that veterinarians do not understand this fact: husbandry is the key to fighting parasite infections. I have also seen them throw the book at animals including...

    Chameleon Tongue Article

Glad to hear Eliza Ann! It was actually pretty fun to dig into the data and read some of the source articles. I highly recommend both of Prof. Chris Anderson's papers from 2010 and 2016 (listed in the references)!

    Chameleon Tongue Article

Chameleon Tongue FAQ - Would love to know what you guys think about my Chameleon Tongue article. I did my best to distill some of Professor Anderson's data into layman's terms and units like inches (instead of mm) and mph (instead of m/s). Thanks!

@Beman and you would be the only one who is correct on this thread. Nice big female ;)

    Sexing juvenile panther chameleon

Yeah - definitely a female given her size, lack of hemipenal bulge and snout. The coloration is also typical of a nice female pardalis. It helps that the seller fabricated one locale and got the other one wrong lol... two points against their sexing trustworthiness.

    Fertile eggs?

You get it wet, squeeze it until it stops dripping and then place it in the incubation container. There are also some more precise mixing strategies where you weigh the substrate and water.

    Fertile eggs?

fertile but too wet - you will want to balance out that incubation media a bit. Have you heard of the squeeze method? lol

    Fertile eggs?

Yeah, do you have any pics of the eggs? It is possible for infertile eggs to last a decent amount of time before molding, but your description makes them sound fertile imo.

    Toltrazuril vs Ponazuril

Ponazuril is the metabolite of Toltrazuril so they are theoretically the same drug. The practical difference is in animals that are so compromised that they won't metabolize Toltrazuril very well and the active dose of Ponazuril and its derivatives could be lower than expected at a given dosage...
