Maybe the function that breaks down in the body shuts down as it grows or hatches the same way as human shut down their ability to break down lactos when they grow up? Because it is meaning that they should be getting vitamin A as it vitamina A form and not as beta carotene?

I wondering what are the numbers/amount the IE of vitamin A pro(?) fromed. Meaning not betacarrotein that is gonna be broken down into vitamin A but vitamin A itself. For mountains species at different stages of their life. Is there any study on this?

Thanks, yeah 6% 54 watts arkadia is what I have been recommended. But the 24 watts fits the terrarium and it has a 6 % uvb output and it´s cheaper. But it does vary from brand to brand even when they are of the same % how far in the cage the uvb gets, and suchs. Linear utbes and compacts ones...

So I am about to buy some lights to the new enclosure and was wonering. Arkadia 6 % 54 watts is what is needed but is the difference of the 39 and 24 watts mainly in the lenght of the linear light tube? or is their light intensity and uvb output also different?

No I mean if there are species of walking stick insects that are toxic, and should not be use as food for chameleons.
