    Roaches, where art thou?

If for some reason jamest0o0 doesn't have enough, I bought some from https://sgv-mantis.myshopify.com/ As the name suggests he focuses on mantises so options are just 100 count and 50 count

    Cham pacing

Yup it was super stressful for me too lol!! I wish you all the best. I just figured since she already liked digging in the coco fiber, it was best to keep some of it to not throw her mental game off. Plus, my enclosure keeps humidity a bit better now! :P

    Cham pacing

Hey I'm new but I wanted to let you know that my cham also decided coco fiber was a good place to dig despite me making a lay bin with ReptiSoil for her. What I did since she liked the coco fiber was place it on top of the substrate, so she could still dig in that but had the actual good stuff...

Female panther not eating but very active

Thats fine for next time she lays, I’m asking whether its a better idea to remove what she’s currently digging in (not suitable) or to just leave her and see if she finds the bigger bin. Or decides to use the small one regardless [edit] In case it's unclear, what she's digging in is one of...

the coco fiber itself isnt mixed with anything, but i put some of the moist soil in. However there is no way i can fit more than 3-4 in deep of soil. Shes already mixed some of the fiber in with the dirt from digging in different parts. she did stop and is just chilling on a branch now, so i...

This is the second day she's tried to dig in the coco fiber planter instead of her lay bin. Should I remove it tomorrow morning provided she isn't in it, to try and let her see the bigger lay bin? There's absolutely no way for me to add enough dirt for her to lay unless she only wants like 3...

Luckily the vet sold us reptivite with no D3 but I appreciate you making note of it! :D

She's digging in the coco liner planter instead of the soil ?‍♀️ i'm not going to disturb her today but if she keeps trying to use that without success I'll add soil to it so she has more room for a tunnel. We are going to be gone tomorrow morning for a few hours so hopefully she uses that alone...

I put it a little more towards the front of the cage where the basking options are lower in height. I will go measure, take pics, and adjust branches or light if needed. Might need to get some wood blocks to prop it up

For sure! She was a bit grumpy and just hiding in the cage last afternoon/night after the vet, but she did drink directly from the dripper before bed. I got her an 18in hood for the T5 5.0 UVB bulb and she already seems a little more content! Got another thermometer for basking and yeah it was...

Re: feeding She hasn't eaten since last Tuesday, which is why I was offering with D3. But I have this written down now and am getting calcium without D3 tonight. Got Reptivite from the vet! Re: lighting Ok, that's doable. Might just replace the compact bulb with a plant light then. Thank you! I...

    Keep current enclosure or upgrade?

She did not do an xray as it didn't seem necessary, should she have? I think she just felt her and didn't think an x-ray was warranted yet. I'm going to give Becky a little more time to try and lay on her own and bring her back to the vet if she's still having issues. They have a lot of...

    Keep current enclosure or upgrade?

She did not lay yet. The vet said she felt follicles but couldn't tell whether they were fully formed without an ultrasound. She still has her lay bin and I'm leaving her alone the rest of the day except for the obvious misting + lights before bed. Fecal test didn't indicate any issues aside...

    Keep current enclosure or upgrade?

Hi all! Wanting some opinions on my situation. I think I know what I want to do already, but want to make sure it's not the worst option. So I brought my panther cham, Becky, to the vet today and they recommended changing her from a glass cage to a mesh one. I'm in Northern Virginia, so...

I'll probably look into that this weekend in case she rejects the current bin in there. She really isn't hanging out at the bottom of the cage at all which is why i was confused whether she was getting ready to lay. Plus, a bin is much easier removal. Thank you! Thank you @kinyonga I'll do just...

My lay bin is based off of this, I used reptisoil since I was worried about getting the wrong kind of sand. If she doesn't lay soon, I'll move the cage to the closet for a bit so she has complete privacy. There's two branches sticking out of it, but I'm considering just putting the braided...

Female panther not eating but very active

As soon as she starts eating normally again I'll do this! She's literally only eaten twice with us :( but I keep seeing such variable feeding schedules re: whether to feed her every other day, every 2-3days skipping weekends, etc. But thank you, will get on this!! I will probably get a small...

I saw a lot of things suggesting that having a substrate can cause mold issues. The cage has room at the bottom for the reptisoil, but is this a good idea? I don't know how feasible it is for us to change the soil every week at this point in time, where the paper towels are much easier.

Thanks. I just put flat cardboard boxes up around the side of the cage by the lay bin which is in the back of the enclosure. Hopefully she can figure it out. I was expecting her to shed soon not lay eggs!! If she doesn't lay eggs this week, should I book another vet appointment? Or how long...

What does this mean? I read lazy bum. Woops. I assume you mean lay bin. Ok, I'll encourage her to use it.
