Yeah, I wouldn't do any moving or changing anything big until she's laid those eggs. I think a privacy sheet will help her immensely... And reaaaally avoiding peeking in at her if she's down near her bin too. That's real tough to do, but they really generally do want absolute privacy otherwise...
Okay so that image was of her during lights out/sleeping time?
Veiled girls, during egg-laying time, can be EXTREMELY shy. Is the enclosure in an area that gets a lot of foot traffic from people or pets?
A suggestion that's often given here is to cover the lower area of the enclosure with a...
Hello and welcome to the forum! Your lovely girl is DEFINITELY full of eggs.
The second picture - are her eyes closed during the day there?
THe best way for us to help you figure things out is for you to fill out the below form. Be as specific as you can, and if you can post pictures of your...
Do you have a thermometer with a probe for the basking area? I'm worried his basking area may be too hot. It shouldn't really be above 80-85 at the absolute max. If that ambient temp gauge is reading 88 by the basking, it's almost certainly too warm.
That being said, he wouldn't be dark from...
Lumps in/on eyes can be real tough to diagnose. It could be debris in the eye, a supplement issue, a UVB issue, something else. What have you done to help remedy it? Is he closing it? Rubbing it on branches?
Have you done a husbandry review?
Haha part of me is like: Oh you poor uncomfortable THING! But the other part is like: LOOK AT YOU GO!!!
It's a little hard to tell here but his whole body is about to go lol. He'll be out of his skin in like 15 minutes after he wakes up. He's also never slept there - I can certainly tell he's...
That's good that they're improving! It's amazing to see his progress. He found SUCH a loving home. <3 Hopefully this upcoming shed goes super well! My little Boogie is asleep and about ready to EXPLODE with shed. His whole body is white lol. I'm a bit sad because I know I'll miss it while I'm at...
Haha what a goofy boy. <3
Maybe do a 4-5 minute misting in one instance, really let that water get in his eye to see if he can clean it. If he's fixing to shed, I wonder if there's already a piece coming out and it's bothering him? From the pics I don't really see anything particularly...
The weather shouldn't be affecting his eyes... It seems like maybe he got something in it? A piece of shed perhaps? I'd suggest keeping an eye on him (har har) and also give him some extra long misting sessions, where he's in the spray, so he can really work at cleaning that eye out. Hopefully...
In my opinion, you can use them as treats, but I'd say offer lots more food, and if he's eating the good feeders (BSFL, Dubia, etc.) let him eat those. Wax worms are indeed fatty, but they're also low in nutritional value. His body needs all the goodness it can get and weight is just one aspect...
If you're feeding dubias, they're notorious for falling off stuff (they don't stick to things well) and immediately either burying themselves in dirt, or hiding under something. I've found dubias hiding under plants (and in soil) more than once.
Personally, at this young age, I offer more than...
I'm really worried about his weight here. With chameleons, we look at things like casque, cheeks, and legs. Your lovely little guy's casque and cheeks are severely sunken in, his legs are nothing but bones and you shouldn't be able to see the vertebrae of his spine in his tail/back.
What size...
With those pictures, he is EXTREMELY skinny. I'm gonna guess parasites if he's actually been eating 15 feeders a day. Vet ASAP - hopefully you can get him in on Monday. 🤕
