Bead of silicone caulk all around? If the screen is nylon, you might want to test the sealant in a small place first - make sure it doesn't eat through the screen.
With a little bit of practice, running a neat caulk line is pretty easy.

Bucky is holding steady right around 325g for the last month. He has been slow and hasn't been eating much since November, maybe a roach or two a week and the occasional snail. He is drinking well and not losing weight, so I'm letting him be. His appetite will come back with the longer days...

That does look like it could be a skin fungal infection. The pap virus seems to more often cause hard crusty growths. The vet should biopsy it for analysis. That's the only way to be sure.
