She has been on repashy calcium plus LoD her whole life. Vet said that was fine and she never had signs of oversupplementation (unless this is one?) Blood work all looked good too.
I should note -- when I first started keeping chameleons this supplementation regiment was suggested. I came back...
Before I start, Coza is still doing great!
Ive known about this for a long time as she's always had them, but I just got some pictures that finally actually show the bumps. She's been all checked out by the vet multiple times and they have been aspirated with a tiny puncture. They're hard...
Totally fair. I think what it was with the presentation was that they were both so weak they could only hold on by their tail. The whole time Coza was sick her tail still had good strength. When I would take her out of the hospital bin to feed and give her meds, her feet came up very easily but...
This was my main question too. I wanted to know what I did and how to avoid it in the future. But we couldn't pin point it on anything.
I'm not sure what you mean by two in the same household? Mona (my other girl) died from complications laying her eggs -- she retained about 3 of them which...
Hey there, when you make a vet visit, bring her and the poop. Could you please post a photo of your entire enclosure? Including what lights you use?
If you can, it would be helpful if you could fill out the "how to ask for help" form in the health clinic of this website. They we can brainstorm...
Best to take the crickets out to feed him. I always feed towards the top of the enclosure. I've never heard of anyone using this method. Just for safety and bc they can be escape artists, I would not keep the crickets in the enclosure.
You only want to feed as much as they will eat on a small time frame, depending on their age. When they're young feed as much as they will eat. When they're about a year old they will slow down to every other day / every 3 or so days for a female. It's not recommended to leave uneaten crickets...
This is my setup. It's *not* as good as I'd like it to be because the chameleon that went into it had to be shipped to me on a very specific date and I didn't have time to do it as well as I would have liked.
I used zip ties yes. Just make sure you cut the ends very short and I took a lighter and melted it down to avoid any sharp zip tie edges from cutting it.
This can be be achieved without the ledges too. Some people like to put lattice on the inside screen to attach plants and also to prevent screen climbing.
If you get the dragon strand ledges, what you can do is put branches vertically going up and down the ledges on either side. That way you can attach pots on various vertical spots going up and down. Someone on the forums had a good picture let me see if I can find it.
