Or you could just go to Lowe’s or Home Depot and buy some wooden dowels. They have different diameter sizes. Wood stain them if you don’t like the natural wood color.
I even sanded mine down with coarse sand paper to give them some texture.
I cut up a shower curtain to match each side and little circle magnets from Amazon to secure.
@FramsChams wouldn’t cardboard become moldy from misters?😗
I’d say you should pay close attention to the poop and urate. If it looks dehydrated and orange your chameleon needs more hydration.
I mist for 2 minutes right before lights out, and fog an hour after lights out.
And fog an hour before lights on, and mist 2 minutes right before also.
I think...
I mean you can gut load them. But I’ve noticed my chameleon will become very picky and will only want to eat the superworms. 😬 I had to ween him down to 1 a day until he started eating his crickets again.
Constantly wet soil will cause root rot….and roots that are currently rotting produce the fungi the gnats feed off of.
Putting the entire plant outside I don’t think would do anything to the gnat larvae….just slow them down until they warm back up.
If you really want to keep the plants…re-pot...
Crotons look dope. But I’ve read they need 60-70% humidity to thrive.
Also there’s some outdoor hibiscus bushes down my street. They look awesome during summer and spring but during fall n winter they look like a manzanilla tree🥴
That jasmine looks nice tho.👍🏼
The cinnamon will kill the fungus the gnats eat. I keep the cinnamon on the top of the soil until I’m able to repot with new soil.
If you can’t move the plant out of the misters spray. I would try pointing the nozzle in a different direction. Amazon has mistaking nozzles that come with elbows...
I’d repot and use an Ariod soil mix.
Trim any bad roots.
Add some springtails to the soil.
Cinnamon is a natural fungicide, which I’ve sprinkled generously on top of the soil to help.
Good luck they are annoying.
Also reconsider your plant placement. Soil that’s wet all the time will cause root...
Do you use worm castings in a bio active enclosure?
Also I’ve read that worm castings sometimes contain egg. Do you know if that’s true?
Would those worms negatively affect the clean up crew(isopods/springtails)?
