I was thinking of the same question. Maybe you should find a female with a good genetics and breed Godzilla. Even if the babies come out not as beautiful as him at least they carry the color genes from him and might show up in the future.

That I don’t do, but we talk to him when he is puffing, like “what is your problem?” or something like “why are you so bossy?”. My 8 year old son would talk to him, “ who’s the cute boy?” same thing he does with our dog.

He has his moments, sweet as an angel when he sees me holding a silkworm in my hand. This brat will not eat the silkworm if it is not in the palm of my hand, he’ll ignore it when it is in the feeder or crawling on the branches. 😁

Picasso just had his second shed with us, he is about 3 1/2 month old. It took him a while to finish shedding unlike the first time that in a blink of an eye he is done. Few days before shed. The day he is shedding Few hours after shedding

So sorry to hear the news. Don’t be hard on yourself, accidents happens and things beyond our reached rolls in. Take your time to mourn the lost of your pet and if you happen to decide getting a new one again, you know people here are always ready to help you.

If she’s going to use the plastics base to run live plants to crawl on it, I see no problem.

Personally and as per advised of majority, it is better to use real plants. You don’t have to cover the bottom of the enclosure with fake moss or carpet, it’ll just become a bacteria haven.

I don’t know if this has been asked or discussed. But I wanted to know from other keepers, where is your chameleon enclosure’s perfect spot in your house? Different houses means different situations, different environments and different reasons. Mine is in a hallway from main door in a corner...

You still need a heat bulb while using that fixture. The fixture is just for UVB and grow light (probably a 6500k T5HO). It adds heat to your ambient temperature because T5 bulbs emits some heat but not enough like a basking bulb. Just my $0.02
