I have mine are technically separate, except my lights.
There are a couple ways to go about this. You can either just find a multi-outlet timer, or if you don't like the ones you come across, like me, you can do what I did.
I bought single outlet timers and utilized them the best I could...
TBH I used them early on.
What I found was, they don't last in the environment we create for our chameleons. They get wet, then warm, lights are shining on them, and they have a tendency to flake. They're perfectly fine to use, but once they flake, that's where things can get dangerous for...
This should be fine, I believe. I don't think the light will harm your chameleon.
I personally use a plant light, but it's 6400k. I am at work and don't know the specifics of those numbers, but if you want a 100% sure thing, I've had this plant light next to my UVB light for Spike since...
Happy Birthday @Beman !!
Many people have helped me on here but no one quite as much as you. I'll never forget it and will always be appreciative. Spike wouldn't be in my care if it weren't for you <3 I hope you have an awesome birthday!
Absolutely. There are always days when I still think of Max and how I wish I had learned more, faster, so she could still be alive. But losing her pushed me to get to that point to where I understood better and adhered to the "cautions" of raising a chameleon better.
I'm glad to see you'll...
oh no!!! :( I am so sorry. You clearly did all you could for Sherbert. I'll never forget losing Max. It immediately broke my heart and I felt so much blame. I totally understand needing time to recover. It took me a long time to do that myself. It took some encouraging on here to get me to...
ty. We're getting there! Once the new fence is installed for my dogs and we don't have to walk them every time they need to go out, it'll be better lol
Our living room is finally starting to look like a living room at least!
Spike has been adjusting very well, now that we aren't moving him all around. We found a nice spot for him in the dining area lol. We've been "learning" the house and how temps and humidity are here but it seems to be balancing out pretty well. He's been doing good!
I don't know where his...
True. Yeah, I understand. To be honest, he seems to be handling it really well. I am really surprised, between the double move, temp/humidity imbalances, etc. I'm keeping a pretty close eye on him and I won't go to work until Tuesday, so I'll continue to for now. If anything seems alarming...
Thank you! Hope you're doing well. It's been very bittersweet. It's also been a rough couple days for Spike. I thought I had a great place picked out for him, and it turned out to be the worst place lmao too cold at night. Way too hot during the day. But I found a great place for him now...
Thank you. It got colder than anticipated in his room last night. Into the 50s. Poor guy. We are still learning this house and I didn't realize the heat was off for that room in particular. So I put it on early this morning. Then just now I noticed with his enclosure being in the sun.....it...
We are in our new home. Living in boxes, but Spike is all setup. He absolutely wants to bite my face off (he tried earlier) but he's sound asleep now relaxing. He had a rough couple days because we had to move him twice.
He was still a little fired up here but starting to seem to calm down lol
