Yeah 😢 she was really sick and needed 3 valves in her heart replaced. Unfortunately she was unresponsive after the surgery and she had a lot of masses and stuff going on. She would have only suffered going forward. So I'm beyond heartbroken for her and my 7 year old son. But at the same...
Spike hates me and won't look at me now 🤣🤣🤣 but he survived move #1. He's at my in laws for the night and tomorrow we will move him into our new home. So far so good.
It's been a rough day. It was a lot of work moving his setup (I use a whole bakers rack for his 48"×38"x24" enclosure), and...
Thank you! He's not gonna agree with you tomorrow night when we move him to my in-laws for the night, and then move him to our new home the next day lol But he will be fine. It's only like a 5-10 min drive to get there. Then our new house is only a few houses down.
Aw. I love feeding Spike on saturdays, because all week his food is in his enclosure before he wakes up. On saturdays, I -try- to sleep in some. So he's up roaming around waiting for his food when I wake up. And he immediately attacks it when I feed him lol
This is incredible information. And so valuable, because it is pretty much a guarantee that most people don't think this deeply into something like this. Thank you for sharing!
Yeah, I knew what I had to do regarding this, even before Spike had arrived as a baby, and I STILL struggled with it lol. So, I basically did what @JacksJill does. I basically gave him "less" each day instead of what he should get every so often. To an extent. He seems to really enjoy...
This has been something very difficult for me to deal with. While the information is clear (once Panther chameleons reach a certain age, everyone is feeding them just a few bugs, every other day), I struggled with this internally. I just felt wrong, and bad not providing him food. So, even...
They are! When I received Spike, I had a mindset that no way can I do females again lol Just thinking about all that was involved. But honestly, I don't feel that way anymore. If/when the situation presents itself and it makes sense, I am certainly open to getting another female again at some...
Now that I will have a bigger house... I WILL have more room lol. But I sadly I won't have the time for a while :( I wouldn't be opposed to someone using Spike as a stud though, if I met someone local who wanted to try that. I personally am nowhere prepared to be the one doing it though :ROFLMAO:
Having live plants helps! If you are struggling with keeping humidity higher, you may want to consider adding more live plants (or possibly bigger). You also want a gradient. You don't just want the humidity to be as high as night as it is during the day at the top of the enclosure.
I set...
I've been incredibly busy lately, so just posting some quick screenshots I took of Spike today :) Don't mind the dead pothos leaf. I'll remove it soon
Spike says hello!! We have been super busy, that's why I haven't been on here much lately. Aside from work, my degree, etc. we are also selling + buying a new home! It's just been a lot to deal with. We close on the 18th for both houses. Hopefully all goes well. Until then I'll try to post...
