Every time I am just about to post on here about Spike "not pooping" I find that he decided to poop somewhere different with excellent poop camouflage and I just did not see it earlier lmao
It drives me crazy because as his pothos plants continue to grow, it gets harder to find it. And...
Sorry for the late response! So, it depends on which bug(s) I feed him that day.
Typically, I do something like this
1) 1-2 silkworms (large, and depending on how large they are)
2) 1-2 silkworms (med-large), approx 6+ BSFL
3) 4-6 crickets (1/2" - 3/4")
4) 9-12 BSFL (typically only do this...
Darn. I figured it was a long shot but you never know so figured I'd ask. IMO, put a bunch of BSFL in her plant pots. My reasoning here is this will have them hatch sooner as they need 70f+ and something like 30-60% humidity to hatch. This works really well for me during the winter.
During...
Also, where are you located???? If you are close enough to Millville, NJ I will bring some to you. I have plenty of silks(Frams Chams), BSFL(Joshs Frogs), and crickets (joshs frogs).
How many days has it been since she has eaten?
Are the silkworms big? I would say continue to gutload the silks real good, don't let them cocoon, if it appears they begin to, and give her 1, wait a day or 2 and give her the other one.
Honestly, I used to sometimes supplement Spikes...
It's been a while since I tried this but Spike was very cooperative today 🙃 and just some shots I took of him before I fed him.
He still doesn't have any desire to walk on me unless he's looking for a mate lol. As you can see.....even the darn black soldier flies will walk on me before Spike 🫠🙃🤣
I can't imagine how bad the freak out would be if I randomly misted him while he was laying down in there lmaoooooo He's already shown me that he can break the metal bars to get out of that crate if he wanted. It would be absolutely chaotic I'm sure :ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO:
Just sharing how nice it is to be able to watch my pets while I'm at work. This started out specifically as a way for me to keep track of Spikes eating habits. But I work on a computer all day so I watch Spike and Lincoln all day lol I just flip back and forth between them to check on them...
We're here! Just been crazy between work, school and the monster of a puppy. Spike is doing great! He went through a short phase of aggressively climbing on me trying to get out to find a mate 😆 but he's calming down again lol
My male panther absolutely 100% hates being touched by water with a fiery passion. He sleeps in an area where the water doesn't reach (but still get's the humidity he needs at night). I've seen some chams on here seem to maybe even like getting hit by the mister.
I wouldn't worry about it...
Here's what Spikes enclosure currently looks like. I want the pothos to cover just a little more but you can see the palms aren't doing anything anymore lol
Spike regularly wipes his off on the roof portion of the screen, and some branches. It's like an unsupervised teenagers bedroom in there by the time I get home from work
