Branches, real vines, vining plants, Fluker’s Bend A Branch are all great options! You can always put in a safe option that’s temporary until you find the perfect fit!
What do you mean by that, a moss vine or a plain plastic one (sorry if I’m misunderstanding you!)?
I googled “outlet timer with multiple settings” and lots of results popped up!
Here’s two options that seem good, though I’ve never used them (I use a regular power strip with multiple analog timers to plug things into- I get lots of power blips, so this way I at least know the duration of...
His cage looks awesome! I’m glad Leon loves it! Be prepared for a boom in plant grown with the Jungle Dawn haha! They grow like crazy under that, especially if you just had a screw in plant bulb before. One think I would tweak is taking out the moss vines and replacing them with a safer option
Such a handsome man! And the pumpkin is incredible! @MissSkittles covered everything, but I’d like to add that moving his dripper to the top of his cage from the bottom (or even better resting on top of or above the top screen) will be much better, you want the water to drip on a plant at the...
Just noticed this and looked back at your photos, so if you could clarify, I’d appreciate it! Do you have a screen panel under the solid top of the cabinet with cutouts on the top for the lights?
If you’re talking about putting a plant bulb in your current fixture and adding it next to the new uvb kit, that works, you’ll just buy a 6400/6500K replacement bulb for it
They are pricey, but a lot of people love them, including me! You can’t argue with their results, and you can go with shorter versions than the length of uvb you need, plus they link to the uvb fixture, so you’ll have two fixture on only one plug! Now, my jungle dawn did just sort of half die...
You should take your girl to an experienced chameleon vet for x-rays to get a better view of things.
Also, hearing this sucks, and I’m sorry for that, but there is a lot of things wrong with her set up.
I have a few questions on her care and some remarks on things you can change quickly once...
Their sweet spot is in the low to mid 60s, though they can handle it all the way down to the high 40s/low 50s for short amounts of time
Is the probe hanging where your cham’s back is when he’s on the basking branch, on the branch itself or somewhere else?
That’s still high, if you could at least...
Could you get an uber/lyft/rideshare, have a friend with a car drop you off, or something along those lines for when you get your appointment? I’m not saying what she has is bad, but if it is, you don’t want it to spread. I’m hoping it’s benign, wishing you and Nachito the best of luck! 🤞🏼
You want the basking bulb a minimum of 9”+ away from the basking branch, and you can take out the che, it’s not needed. Panther chams actually prefer, and need, a nighttime temp drop. If you could get your nighttime temps in the mid 60s (*F), that’d be perfect! Is your thermometer analog...
If you don’t mind me asking, what are your daytime temps and basking temp? How do you measure them, and how far away are the bulbs (che and basking) from the basking branch?
