    Too Big?

They say bigger is better for cages. Well I may be going too far. I have not trimmed plants and only expand the living area. It is now about 20 square feet surface area and 5 feet or so vertical.

    CHECK OUT MY NEW ENCLOSURE

I am a bit late, but creeping jenny and orchid are safe, and by the opinion of my chams they are very tasty. After the first flower my cham now waits and as soon as they open up it is snack time. Same with the creeping jenny, she would let it grow out then chomp it down over and over until one...

Someone explain this to me please

One thing I think gets confused alot, and I don't fully understand. But we use the terms "Fog, as in fogger" , Humidity, and hot humid, aka steam sort of. These are three different things. I think this causes confusion. Foggeres should be thought of as a tool to raise ambient humidity. Not...

Oh. This is the lows they experience in nature and the corresponding dew point on an average. So it is based on observation vs some kind of formula.

Someone explain this to me please

Lol I don’t say it makes sense, but I believe that is where the logic started. That and trying to match nature at night. There is a hole somewhere in the logic or wild Florida would have RI.

Someone explain this to me please

I believe the 67 comes from mimicking the dew point. On thing always left out is how to fog. At any temp inhale the mist right off the house and you will choke. I believe the threat is more wher the fog is too thick.

    Cooling enclosure at night?

The rules on fogging still apply. The 67 degrees rule is good. Adaption would be if your temps and humidity remained high you would add air flow. 70 is right on the line. In this case you would want max airflow with full screen. What @Beman is referring to is accurate. Fog in a hybrid or...

    Cooling enclosure at night?

The key to fogging above 70 is ventilation. In your case You are ok at 70. It is at the edge but it is there

    Cooling enclosure at night?

So what is your night time low? If the home is 70 you should get to 68 with fog. This is acceptable range. Below 70 is our goal. As mentioned you don’t need to go to low 60s or 50s like montane species. If you need cooler I have made window fans with computer fan to pump in cool outside air...

Chameleon egg dented it was due on oct.16th

The substrate is basically crushed terracotta. I use it. Mine is Pangea hatch. Is the brand. The Idea is that you can see it get lighter in color as it dries so you can track humidity. The egg looks ok, but I have lost eggs from checking too much. Don’t open the container more than you have...
