Help me find (in stock) Arcadia D3 6% UVB T5 Bulb - 46"

I suspect this. I feel like arcadia plays the warranty game a bit. The guarantee 1yr,but we recommend 9 months because without a solarmeter we cant tell. I do expect the zooMed to last just as long honestly.

Help me find (in stock) Arcadia D3 6% UVB T5 Bulb - 46"

From what I can tell it does not work in a double up fashion. If I hold my solarmeter under UV and get a reading then add a second my readings do not go up significantly at all. It seems to be different than PAR where we add more light to get more. Because it is a percentage of light I...

Help me find (in stock) Arcadia D3 6% UVB T5 Bulb - 46"

Reptisun is fine. The difference is in the longevity of the bulb vs arcadia. Other than that I don't believe there is a difference in output.

Just found these box turtles with my friends!

Ok so box turtles never go more than a mile from their home range. If removed they wonder aimlessly looking for home. So very important to release where you caught them. They are cool

My baby panther had to have his tongue amputated

Yes there are no rules. I would guess it is very individual. Hopefully he will be able to eat on his own.

My baby panther had to have his tongue amputated

My male has no tongue. Once they have no tongue there is no danger with tongs . However use the plastic or bamboo ones. If he has enough tongue to manipulate food to swallow he will learn to eat on his own. Mine has no tongue and I have to push the feeders way back into his mouth. Don’t try...

Just bought an adult veiled chameleon

It can get confusing because they will get dark for a few reasons. Unhappy is one, To absorb heat is two, and simply hiding in a dark area. So it can be tricky. From what you describe it is like @Beman suggest that he is dark trying to absorb the heat and light. I am sure as you get UV and heat...

How I Syringe/Force Feed my Chameleon

If I am seeing right you suggest pulling down the bottom jaw or wiggling in the syringe. This is a bad idea. There jaw is not that strong and applying too much pressure can break the jaw. Wiggling it in can damage teeth gums and lips. You also don't want to grab around the body to secure as it...

Just bought an adult veiled chameleon

OK If I got it all your heat bulb is 25w ? that would be too cool. You don't need a special bulb, but usually 50 to 60 watt is good. If you have a good reptile store they may have the items you want, but if it is the one you already went to the probably don't. The T5HO you will need to get...

Just bought an adult veiled chameleon

So you will want to read up. First Check you heat!!! Don't set the lamp on the screen he will get burned and I do not want to see any more misshapen chams due to burns. Make sure you can keep your hand on the screen under the bulb without it burning. Then he is safe. Next is food and...

    T. hoehnelii. Male and female clutch mates, ~7 months old.

OK fine, you keep taunting me with these lol. Are any going to be for sale ? I have been tempted for a while but every thing I found was wild caught, or what I believe is the babies of a new wild caught female. If I knew they were coming from a source like you I might be tempted. My biggest...

Just bought an adult veiled chameleon

I will fire out a guess and say he is to hot. Seems counter intuitive, but they get dark when Unhappy. But More important fill out this questionnaire. https://www.chameleonforums.com/threads/how-to-ask-for-help.66/ Also this is a great getting started page on my sight. It goes over the basics...

I have noticed a change in animal care. They seem to be improving on that as well. Their chams had T5 uvb and decent set up.
