That's good. My cricket escapees don't seem to climb much, and I haven't had gnats inside the enclosure. When I had the nepenthis in there, I had to feed them feeders that had recently died; fortunately, nepenthes don't seem to care about live food.
That's a lot of food in that pitcher...
If you cannot support that statistic, it is personal opinion.
Please stop mischaracterizing what I said.
I don't take issue with there being some husbandry issues.
I do take issue with passing off unsupported personal opinions as fact, or as "hobby standards".
Some people here have taken...
Yes, I knew that. Your 2 pothos may take some time to reach that growth rate, but not too long.
I have all three of the plants I mentioned above. When they reached 10 feet in length, I threaded them through other plants, around branches, etc. They've more than doubled in length since then...
I'd stick with live vines only. Foam vines may not shed, but they may still hold water like a sponge, possibly providing a growth medium.
Some excellent live vines that grow relatively quickly (up to 12"/month):
Inchplant
Philodendron
Golden Pothos
My Schefflera has gotten so big that my cham...
ICBW, but doesn't the camera—like the chameleon's eye—just detect infrared? I didn't know they produced or projected any.
As far as having a camera in there all the time, some do it. They're all different. My cham is a bit camera shy.... I think he sees it as the eye of a predator...
I think it partly depends on what you're using for a plant light. I have plant lights that are so bright, my ambilobe panther tries to bask under them—even though it's colder than under his basking light. Chameleons sometimes do this—try to bask under the brightest light.
This one reason...
I don't doubt it, but it could be more than that. My panther is in a 48 x 24 x 48, and he's been hanging on the door in one corner all day because he wants to come out, climb on the Missus' plants, and sit in the window looking out. Can't blame him! 😃
I don't remember which species we're talking about, but if it were dubias, that could take years!
Live fast, die young, and leave 500,000 eggs/nymphs. Sounds like a plan! :p
Yes. Look back at posts #10 & 11, where OP expressed a concern IF he falls, and you immediately jumped on that one detail. She later (post #14) said that he falls "occasionally". That's about how often Mr. GrumpyPants falls, and it's no big deal.
We may assess things differently, but I don't...
No, that's a mercury vapor bulb. You can't control both factors (heat, UVB) independently.

You can usually still find a few household incandescents, floods and/or halogens (DO NOT get a 'spot'—they can burn) at the big-box home improvement stores (HD or L—not Pet— chains), or order them through their websites.
Getting them to eat their veggies can require some tough love. Letting her go without bugs for a week or two won't hurt her one bit.
Ol' Stinkeye wouldn't touch greens/veggies (or fruit) until after his first brumation. Yesterday he ate his first strawberry (in 2 years+) and actually liked...
There's no need to eliminate mealworms completely. They're fine when fed in moderation and as part of a varied diet.
