Well, that situation has been remedied. I bought one this week because it was either that or buy a whole new steel door (long story).
I've watched so many YT vids I'm overloaded. Most appear to have been made by morons. (Yeah, I know... that describes half of YT... 🤪 )
I checked the...
Does he get out much? Of course not... you just got him! 🤪
I'm guessing the reason mine has such a strong grip is that he gets out twice a week to climb around on the plant table for a few hours.
I keep telling people that some botany is part of chameleon keeping.
Missus was watching a vid on dracaenas this morning that went over an hour.
I expect ours will be improving directly....
Arcadia make T5 HO 6% UVB bulbs in 22", 34", and 46"

Most fixtures (including Arcadia but not Reptisun) are made by the same factory in Shenzen China, and all are virtually identical.

There's no problem with that. Since the money came from a relative, I just hope that if something does go wrong in the future, you'll be able to take her in again. I would be sure the vet has experience with beardies (not just exotics).
Are you looking for something to be wrong? Getting a fecal done is prudent, though it doesn't require a visit to the vet unless something shows up on the fecal that requires treatment.
I'm confused. Just a few days ago (post #67) you said she was fine. You've got a lay bin in there...
Handy if he ever needs a fecal test.
Those look fine to me.
Yeah.
Nice enclosure. Muji? What dimensions?
I'm still thinking his color may be the seasonal thing, but dark colors can (not always) indicate stress.
One potential problem I see with all of them (and have seen with other bird cages as well) is that the doors are just too small for getting decent sized centerpiece plants in and out.
Another is size. What are the dimensions of the cage portions (not the oversized trays beneath)?
Chameleons...
IC. Some people do use dimmers for basking & plant lights. I don't have a feeling about it either way; IDT it's necessary, but I don't have a problem with it as long as the chameleon's needs are being met.
That's a big light—10X what many/most here use for a (typically) 24" x 24" x 48"...
Consider the sources, and that the beginning of this thread was from over 10 years ago.
I have a male panther, and with judicious misting, I don't need or use a fogger or dripper; I do mist a few times at night, which keeps nighttime humidity on target.
Every situation, chameleon, and...
I would lose the fake vines, the blue lights, the compact UVB, and the T8 along the wall.
Do you have a mister as well? IMO, a mister is more important/versatile than a fogger or dripper, especially if the dripper plants are those that cycle the same water over & over.
Until some live vines...
I'm not clear on how using the slide out tray for drainage would work with bioactive.
Whether there might be other issues would depend on the cages & features. Pictures?
"Full Spectrum" is more of a marketing term than well-defined, but LED grow lights are (IMO) the best option.
Do you have...
Nighttime misting can help lower temps, but only by a few degrees at most via evaporative cooling.
If your nighttime humidity is good, it may not be worth the trouble.
Can you lower the house/room thermostat at night?
Welcome to the forum!
They do slow down a bit as they get older. Mine (19 months) just shed, and it took him a couple days, where it used to take him just a couple hours. This time, it was first the top half, then the bottom half.
Is the rest of it dry or wet? Again, mine has recently...
