I would definitely agree with pacing yourself. I have two reptiles currently and have automated their care as much as I can so it's more just keeping an eye on things than anything else. I'd rather put in more upfront effort so I cut down on long term effort, rather than cut corners so to speak.
Got the new injectors for the car, just waiting for the new pcv. I ran a seafoam treatment through the intake and in my oil and have already seen the fuel economy and power improve.
Well, my car is in pieces, but for a very good reason. Fixing the few mechanical issues it has, should be back to expected operation once I install the new injectors. It will be back to producing the power it should.
Alright, so same approach to the stuck shed he had on his head, let nature do what nature do best. It's the last bit of shed he had from his time in his old enclosure, the bioactive enclosure maintains humidity with ease.
Alright, I'm turning to the community because I think I know how to deal with it, but I want feedback.
Chandler is shedding again however he has some residual shed on his tail. It isn't causing issue, but I am concerned about it. I'll post pictures and the rest of the info tomorrow, he's...
Hello everyone, hope you all are doing well.
The last two years have honestly been a whirlwind, but in a good way. Also figured it was time for an update as I drop in and out of the forums depending on how busy I am and my mental health.
Anyways, the last two years have been focused on...
Well I haven't been posting much as I've been focusing energy on other areas of my life lately so I can guarantee some sort of future for myself. Things have been going good though.
Well as promised, here is the entire setup, including the most recent addition of a temperature control system for the basking spot. I don't think I can do any more upgrades past this point now.
Well I am a little late posting this. I've been busy with university classes starting up again, vehicle issues, family issues and trying to get a good plan in place to achieve my future. I am investing in my future though by building this bioactive enclosure and ensuring my first car can go the...
Good news everyone!
I have managed to spot 4 different isopods in the enclosure over the past two days. One was close to the biggest the dairy isopods can get. So it seems like they have established themselves, but I still am going forward with the colony in case I have a crash occur. If...
Quick update.
Well it's almost cycled for a month now. So close to being able to let Chandler move in.
The springtails have definitely established themselves and is may have acquired a few millipedes and a single centipede that won't cause an issue with the bioactive setup or Chandler and...
I discovered yesterday that I can attach a MistKing nozzle directly to the RO filter and it produces enough pressure to run it, comes in handy when I have to manually mist the enclosure.
So quick update, yesterday my RO filter arrived. Got it all setup but also the new enclosure maintains humidity really well. The misting system still runs, but way less frequently than the old enclosure. I have also decided to utilize a dripper to ensure that a source of water is available. I...
These guys are finally through quarantine so time to add them to the enclosure. So far the CUC is dairy cow isopods, tropical springtails, red wrigglers and Morio worms.
