@Tylerdowd where have you purchased your egg from? I have ordered from a few different places. I definitely have better success with eggs that are not glued down.
what are the steps you have followed when hatching and caring for your silkies?
If anyone has any of the following titles that they would like to sell let me know.
Arcadia Guide to Reptile & Amphibian Nutriton
Bio-Activity and the Theory of Wild Re-Creation
also interested in any good book recommendations.
thanks
I know we don’t know each other but I have read countless posts from you helping others. I can tell you are a sweet and caring person. I just wanted to send good vibes your way. I hope things workout for your family 💕
@redhorse your bin may be staying to wet/Moist the droppings should be drying out. They won’t grow mold/fungus if they dry out and your bin will stay cleaner.
I have found hatching and raising silkworms is very easy if you follow a few rules. Silkworms need a clean environment or they will get sick and turn into a black liquid mess.

I agree that a permit for keeping exotic animals would be a great step. But it’s only as good as the enforcement of such a law.
Here in Denver Co we can’t even enforces a simple Leash law for dogs.
