That's great, the ones I had ran away in fear when they saw the cristatus cages,.
I'm unfortunately not near the coast, I'm in the SGV 343 feet above sea level.
I've had 2.7 T. serratus now for about 3 weeks (again Thank You Steve McNary).
They are housed outside in SoCal 24/7. They are housed as 2 pairs and 2 cages of communal females in Large Reptibreezes.
I usually spend about 20 minutes per cage every morning looking for them, only to get a...
I got 3.3 Cristatus from Chameleons International. I took out the first male and was blown away, he looked like he had been copper plated, put him in his enclosure and went on to the next one. This one was even more stunning, looked just like the photos you see of them as exemplars. The third...
Welcome to the forum
You will be told to fill out the form here in the Health Clinic. do that right after lowering his temp to about 72 degrees. Give him lots of water make sure he's drinking. Find a good vet and make an appointment as soon as possible.
Good luck
It is fitting that today is Easter.
I have no advice for you but I have to say, you are indeed a very special angel.
Keep the faith you have in your ability to care for and enjoy her.
I ordered a 4 pack of the Sterlite gasket lid type online from Walmart, free delivery and basically the same price as anyplace else. Delivery was pretty quick too.
I recently had a clutch of 12 F. Campani eggs, in researching I read that a diapause is employed in some species and Campani are usually mentioned, but that is all that is said.
Does anyone know if the diapause is obligatory or depends on environmental conditions? Or when do I lower the...
Nick Henn of Canvas Chameleons bred some a couple of years ago, I got some from him, but had no luck breeding them. Yesterday my female laid 12 eggs, so I called him to see about a diapause, proper incubation temps and length etc. I will get any info I receive from him to you.
As for...
I have very little experience with egg-laying chameleons, I did recently have a clutch of 34 YBBB panthers (33 hatched and doing great).
I've been trying to breed Campani now for about a year and a half, unsuccessfully, until today.
I found my female Campani, searching around the bottom of...
As well as a shower and a vet visit, you need to lower your cage temps, 80 is plenty hot at the top and he needs a cool wet place around 70 even less lower and if you can get it a good nighttime drop down into the 60's would help (fog him at night).
Congrats on you new arrivals, and Happy Birthday too.
I have multiple clutches of both those species, if you keep lots of climbing branches in the enclosure it works well to put small pieces of fruit on the ends of a few branches, the mels, hydei, pinheads etc will converge on them , keeping...
I had a pair of WC Ellioti, but lost the male. The gravid female gave me a clutch of 7, so I have males, but related to sisters and mother so no breeding possible.
I would like to trade for a male Ellioti, either WC, CB or CBB, I prefer WC, I'm open to trading males, trading a female (or 2)...
@Brodybreaux25 (I can't figure out how to put your reply in a green box)
I was wondering that from the title too.
I think its supposed to be "Revenge of the crickets" (I blame auto-spell)
Well, I found one more on the 13th, and five more throughout the day yesterday, a few are pipping the larger ones still sweating. I was busy yesterday so I was checking on the eggs every few hours so I didn't have time to take any pictures of the individuals, but I got this one this morning.
With the little information you've provided I can see one potential problem for a Jackson Chameleon, other than those previously mentioned
You said you made her set-up nice and warm,...Jacksons like nice and cool, and they don't mind wet either.
