If your doing an outside enclosure go with the bigger mesh size. If inside and you dont want feeders escaping get the aluminum. The standard size is pretty close to letting fruit flys get out. I prefer to have less bugs in the house. Well at least less free roaming bugs! ;)
if the tip of a pen slides in the holes its standard size mesh. It looks like its right on. I would grab it. Personally you will prob like the silver better then black as you will see everything better.
Your house temp for daytime and nighttime are also hot for any chameleon. You are going to need some sort of climate control for the room of enclosure.
I am currently at work and saw this but will be home soon and give you a husbandry form to fill out so we can dive deeper.
When you put lacewing outside i usually put melon down at the base of plants with problems. This helps keep them in the same spot.
My tree boa had a bad pest problem and i used lacewing in my enclosure and it worked great. I actually would watch them go from pest to pest like a serial killer.
I've also noticed using luke warm water with mister a 2 minute light mist above raining down gets my guys to poop. I would skip the baths like said above!!
Even upping your humidity levels seems to get things going sometimes. Just make sure to keep your levels close to accepted husbandry levels.
This is awsome glad she ate! I noticed you have live plants in her enclosure so i would just stick with incescts for food. Chameleons dont eat greens for nutritional value but for roughage to help digest. So save those heathy greens for your tummy!!!
So recently i have been free ranging Luna alot more to try to get her better whenever she needs to be handled. She stays out for a hour or 2 in her room. She tends to always end up looking out the window happily watching everything that could possibly eat her fly by. She shows no stress colors...
I would keep an eye out for her colors to start changing. Constant turquoise and yellows are a good sign shes getting ready. If you got her at a big chain store like Petco or PetSmart the chams are usually anywhere from 1-3 months old.
You will notice restlessness and lots of exploring when...
@jamest0o0 so strange question it appears a female dubia died while giving birth. She was dead with the live nymth halfway out. No sign of a die off or anything. Just a lone gal that had a bad day maybe?
Here it goes again 😂 It makes sense why they auto ban when you reference here. Ugh they are frustratingly upsetting. Not only the lack of discussion but general responses you get from mods when you dont even want there help!!
