    Homemade Cloud Forest

My greenhouses are sealed up pretty tight. But I feed all my guys out of containers, so I don't have to worry about that. Although I do have a hatch of houseflies in rotation in the greenhouse...I'm sure some of those escape.

    Homemade Cloud Forest

Thanks, Tabitha. Calumma crypticum! Her eyes are what stood out to me in that photo as well...love it. The fogger turns on about 30 minutes before sunset and runs until sunrise the next day. I have a filter on my tap that removes chlorine and chloramines and all that good junk...but it is out...

    Homemade Cloud Forest

My favorite thing about my greenhouses are the fogging systems. I love walking into the greenhouses late in the evening and at night when the fog is really building. It's like walking through a cloud. Here are a few shots taken tonight of some of my chameleons. Some are asleep, some were awake...

    I'll be away.....

My bag is packed! I will be sitting at the end of my sidewalk waiting for You and Jim to come pick me up!! :p I'm glad you are getting to go and I think it will be a fabulous trip!! When I was in Costa Rica the year before last, I realized that Off only works in the states. It does absolutely...

    Sperm Plug? Something else?

Looks like a prolapse to me. Make sure and keep the area moist. Him rubbing it on branches and causing bleeding is not a good thing at all. If the prolapse doesn't retreat, I would take him to a vet. Some coax it back in themselves and that is fine. But seeing that your guy has been rubbing...

    Cristatus babies growing up!

I had fun raising this group of babies and it has eased my mind about all the clutches I have to come. They had a reputation to be finicky but I have found that to be untrue. I just adore these little ones. @bobcochran......not yet!

    The King!

Thanks, Tabitha! He is the most gentle chameleon I own actually. He is very relaxed and has never been flighty.

    Lamprolepis smaragdina laig eggs today!!!

Me too!!! I have wanted to work with this species since I saw them as a child in a book. I am so glad to say that I have a breeding pair now. I was so excited to pull her out and weigh her. She dropped 5 grams overnight and I knew I had goodies waiting on me in the cage!

    Lamprolepis smaragdina laig eggs today!!!

Yes, and the eggs are so beautiful. I just love them. We will see how the babies turn out soon since their incubation is only a month and a half roughly.
