I think you mean like blowing your nose type thing? Does she only do it when your around or can you hear her when your not near the cage?
My male does it when I first pick him up. Not Everytime but most. Not sure why because he doesn't fire up or hiss like my male veiled haha.
So crazy to see how much damage can be caused by over feeding. Is it ok to fat shame chameleons or their owners for making them that way or is that not PC?
Just got a trio of Gargs and I couldn't be happier. I wanted to share them here and see how many other people are into them. I am considering getting a trio of crested next.
First is my Striped Female
Next is my Orange Blotch Female
Then my Red Stripe Male
Thanks for checking them out
Josh
I was just about to make a post and read this. I dont have crested.....at the moment. haha. I just got a trio of gargoyle geckos though and have been really enjoying them. My daughter loves that she doesn't need to deal with insects.
I have tried everything and my chams won't touch them. Also tried orange heads. I tried not feeding them anything else for a few days and nothing. My veiled took them as a juvenile but now nothing. Good luck.
Yeah basically what Becca said haha. You have helped me out a ton and I regurge a lot of what I learned from you and a lot of other members who have helped me since the start of this journey.
You sure about that hug buddy?
The last photo is definitely a boy. The bulges at the base of the tail are harder to see in veileds until they are older but by then the colors or bands are already showing. The spur on the foot will show the day they hatch so tell your buddy at the store to do a little more reading.
I just want people to know you do care. Some people think your a little rough but now we all know. haha. jk. You help a lot of people and I appreciate your knowledge and advice.
I mean if the hug is an option....
I don't know if they are legal in FL but I am trying to start a colony of grasshoppers. I hate dealing with crickets and my chams won't touch roaches. They love hoppers, supers, silks, and horns so I'll stick with those.
I hope you understand that the members are just trying to help. Most Chameleons will stress when brought out into the open. Stress is very difficult to detect in Chameleons until they are already sick.
I know some members who take their chams out but they are long time veterans who are used to...
That's funny my daughter just turned 7 June 28th. Haha. Very close in age.
My daughter just wants the babies. She sees them at shows and remembers when ours were babies and she fell in love. Now we are working on gargoyle geckos. She is over the moon haha.
Sounds like your in the same boat as me. My second (last) is 2 and my daughter (7) and I are working on getting a breeding thing going. My wife would be the one boxing and my daughter and I would be crying. Haha.
As for naming bugs I don't think I'll ever get there. I held onto a male dubia...
