Its definitely better to make a post about it since you can get lot more ideas but if you do not feel comfortable then the PM may help to get yourself out there to build up to new posts I guess.
They seem to get brighter with every shed. That's why a lot of people say the final colors are not truly set until they reach about a year and a half old.
I only used the word afraid because that's what they said they were. I have done the same thing with @Matt Vanilla Gorilla tons of times which is why I say having someone you can trust and bounce ideas off is very valuable.
I highly doubt you will ask something that nobody on this forum hasn't heard before. If your too afraid to ask then it will always be a challenge. We need to build off the mistakes and learn from each other for the benefit of the animals and the community.
That constant pursuit of knowledge and never say die attitude is why you will do great. You just have to take in what others tell you and find what works best for you and then things will begin to run smooth. Keep up the hard work and always keep learning.
I honestly do not get the "i'm surprised your a girl" thing because anyone can be into the awesome animals and can get passed their fears of insects. I was disgusted by insects but have gotten used to them and even interested since they keep my reptiles fed. My daughter loves the reptiles as...
@bobcochran I think they mean if it will be running 24/7. I know the night time will need the high humidity but I think the day needs to dry out a bit correct?
The first thing you should do is plan on where the second cage is going to go as this is addicting. hahah jk......or am I? @Beman
In all seriousness. Not in any order and some of what I use.
1. Cage - Should be 24x24x48 screen cage for a male. Dragon strand is nice but nothing wrong with zoo...
The roller A/C units are more then that depending on the room size you have. I think they would be your best bet. They work well though and I use it to cool my garage when I am working out there. haha
Great post as we have all been brand new at some point.
The problem with some of the people on this forum is they come off as abrasive because they are so passionate about these animals and find it hard to believe someone would buy an animal on an impulse. Obviously this happens and thats ok as...
Matt has some females that show amazing colors. This picture is just because she hates me so whenever I hold her she shows gravid. When she is calm she as teal across her back.
Instead of the ice you could put the peltier in the water of the humidifier. Well one side anyway. Most mini fridges use peltier.
Another way would be to buy the a/c systems that sit on the floor and close the vent in that room. Most of the roller A/C can set a temperature. This is if you have...
Guess I should also put Amelia here too haha. She doesn't look like she grew much but she will be a year old this month. I got her in November of last year.
Don't get me wrong I am very happy the way they turned out but I just wanted you to know so you can use Merlin's baby picture to know how Bahari looked.
BTW Bahari and Merlin looked almost identical as babies. They both had the red spots which is what made me fall in love. Even though they didn't retain them haha. @Matt Vanilla Gorilla remembers.
