    Pine has a lot of sap. I don't know if baking it would help get rid of that. You could let it age and dry out but I don't know how long that takes.

    Its not just panels. Its panels, inverter, disconnects, wire, and if you wanted batteries. If I were to do it I would get a few panels and a bigger inverter so I could add more panels latter on without having to upgrade anything else.

    A solar system will pay for itself in about 20 years. If you use $120 worth of electricity at .12 cents a kilowatt that would be about 1 mega watt of electricity a month. You can buy a grid tied system from wholesale solar for about $7500 that produces about 604kw a month. That leaves you to pay...

    The coldest weather iv been in was a few years ago I was trapping and it was -30 and wind brought it down to -50F. I looked like the kid from a Christmas story.

    Only six inches :eek: When I was in elementary school we would roll snow balls that got to about 5 feet tall. It took about a dozen 3rd graders to be pushing one that big. Its more fun outside to when its -20F outside
