    Be aware that most grasshoppers have o ne generation per year. This means that there will be a long period of obligatory diapause. Although some overwinter as nymphs or adults, most overwinter as eggs.

    Looks like an Io larva. Feed it until it pupates, and the moth will emerge later. The cagterpillar spine can cause irritation.

    You should be seeing the female ovipositor if their wings are developing. An all male group would be unusual.
