White “blister” on tip of mouth?

The bump on the chin is how my Jackson's infection started out. I posted this in another thread: This is by no means a substitute for a vet but you can slow down the infection by using a mixture of Terramycin and Nature Zone Rot Guard for mouth rot...

I recently battled with a case of this with my Jacksons. His jaw was disfigured and swollen. This is by no means a substitute for a vet but you can slow down the infection by using a mixture of Terramycin and Nature Zone Rot Guard for mouth rot...

Good to know I'm not the only one who thinks they can recognize us!

Do Chameleons possess the ability to recognize their owner?

Since Chameleons are visual based animals, and communicate via visual cues, color, etc, is it possible that they may also learn to recognize a person who frequently feeds them, etc by that persons visual attributes, i.e color of their skin, height, etc...and know that that person is not a...

    Feeding Schedules

This 'not feeding your cham too late' rule, is grossly over exaggerated. Light, whether it be sunlight or a bulb, is not what your cham needs to digest it's food; it's the ambient temperature. Just because the lights go out, doesn't mean your cham's body stops food digestion. As long as their...

    when should I give calcium/vitamins?

Also remember that dusting with supplements is simply a safety net. You should be focusing more on what you feed your feeders... aka 'gutloading'...

    Who keeps snails?

It seems to fill him up pretty well. I've offered him two several times before, but he only ate the two one time. One is usually enough. I offer them about 3 times a week, as I prefer he eats crickets because they're the feeder I gutlaod with bug buffet, etc. Plus I don't want him to get bored...

Yes. Started with 3 adults from eBay years ago and now I have an endless supply, generations in.

    Who keeps snails?

No, I keep them by themselves. I assume those tank mates help keep down the waste/decaying matter? I've had issues in the past with large infestations of fruit flies and gnats, which are attracted to the rotting matter, but I attach yellow fly paper to a side of the enclosure and that takes...

    How long without food?

Lately, the 3 stores I get crix from Petco, Petsmart and a local mom and pops store have been running out of large crickets frequently. I think there's an issue with the suppliers...? Anyhow, to the original poster; a healthy cham can go a week and more without food. In the wild they're not...

    Who keeps snails?

I usually keep mine around 80 degrees. I keep mine inside because I don't want to risk some wild insect getting into the enclosure and infecting my stock with some sort of parasite or/and larva.
