best feeders and where to buy them?

If you buy silk worm eggs sent with a cold pack you can hatch out small batches. You just have a limited time that you can keep them refrigerated before they won't hatch. I've had them go six months.

Male Panther with a couple issues

We’ve taken in a few rescues over the years with MBD. His leg grabbing is a symptom. You should pad the bottom of his cage and use hammocks or extra branches to help him get around. It will take time to get his nutritional balance back in line and if he has significant bends in his legs he may...

    Acadia figures and bulbs...

I don’t have any pics handy but there are some side by side comparisons around this site of the bulbs. The fixture doesn’t matter as much and some of the ones made for aquariums are reasonable and reliable. Just take out the plastic water shield they come with and you are good to go. You can...

    Screen vs Glass

We use glass cages like the exoterra’s for our neonates.. Suction cups are good for attaching vines around the perimeter but 3M makes removable hangers of all sizes that are great for attaching to glass. You just have to be careful some have a spot in the center where the adhesive is exposed...

Comment by 'ChamLB' in media 'Time to glow'

Thank you, he is the sire to a beautiful clutch of babies from this extremely rare locale. We are very proud of him and as far as we can tell these are the first to be hatched in North America in a very long time.

    Nocturnal activity

Superworms make a crunching sound when they burrow. Once they pupate it stops.

    Signs of dehydration?

That is a good amount as long as you are hitting your target humidity during the day. You may need to add an ultrasonic humidifier over night if your nights are dry.

    Signs of dehydration?

The problem with pics of the eyes is chameleons will pull their eyes in if the feel threatened. So the minute you get a camera near them you get a sunken eyed pic. You will need to look at him when he’s relaxed to know. You should also check the white part of his poo for traces of orange. All...

Vet visit! How do I take him?

I take mine in a dark box with a mounted branch to hold on to. If it’s dark enough they can sleep thru the ride.
