Good question. I wish I had an absolute answer for you. This is where chameleon's drive their keepers crazy. The 7-8 mos. mark can be where you see appetite changes in panthers more the males than the females. Then the adults do their thing.

The extra bulb will generate more heat but probably won't dry out the bottom of the cage any better than the first one. Putting the bulb on the side of the cage will cause problems with your chameleons behavior. You want the heat source to draw them near the UVB. Drainage or a screen covered...
You can test it if you have silkworms. If you have a bunch put a leaf in with a couple. If it's not mulberry they might chew it a little, if it is they will devour it. Don't feed them off if you aren't sure.
Just saw this. You should supplement calcium (without D3 or phosphorus) at nearly every feeding, multivitamin once every 2 weeks, and calcium with D3 once every 2 weeks.
I know this isn't what you are asking but you could do a lot better on your gut load. A variety of veggies from the gut load list would be better. Even carrots or sweet potatoes would be an improvement. Save your money and ditch the orange cubes and let them get their moisture from the veggies...

That's a boy and you are right about the burn. It looks like it's healing. Keep an eye on it for any signs of infection. hopefully it will look better with each shed.
You can use KY or something similar that is water based to keep the tissue from drying out. The pic is blurry but it could be a sperm plug and the irritated tissue around it. If the center part looks waxy it could be a sperm plug.
It couldn't hurt to do a good wipe down of your cage with soapy water before you put him back in. Air out your place just in case they used an aerosol spray.
I find putting the misting tip in the front corner next to the door hinge pointing toward the opposite back corner works best. It creates the least mess and is less in the way. Putting your tallest plant or hanging plant in that back corner creates a spot for the droplets to collect.
