    My New Updated Enclosure!

Yes I know that you are always one to defend because I probably would’ve left by the things some people said to me when I first joined, but you made me feel welcome and wanted so I thank you for that. (:

    Horn worm

I bought a single hornworm for my Cham last night but I have not fed it to her yet because I am worried it is to big and I don’t want her to choke. My Cham is a veiled (5-6) months, and was wondering what age you guys started feeding your charms hornworms. I bought the smallest one they had.

    My New Updated Enclosure!

I agree with you Beman! I was not trying to put you down in any way because you have always been helpful to me! I just have read through many forums and have seen people leave because of how others talked to them and made them feel stupid in the forums. I am obviously not an expert, and I do not...

    My New Updated Enclosure!

The only problem with this forum is, some of you criticize without even giving a solution to the problem, and just stating the problem. Which can be discouraging to new members. For expample, instead of using the shelves you could use zip ties or certain types of wiring to weave through the...

    My New Updated Enclosure!

I agree with having the enclosure as natural as possible all I was saying is that it is a good step in the right direction. They may not have all the tools and supplies in the reach at the moment and It may have just been a temporary support for the branches. I’m not an expert, I was just...

    My New Updated Enclosure!

That’s all I was saying, it is a step in a good direction. It isn’t perfect but not everyone knows every single way to get branches to stay up inside a screen enclosure. And the shelves were that persons idea to do that, it isn’t harming the Cham, and you all gave your feedback of why they...

Question re: t5 5.0 height over habitat

I have mine directly on the enclosure. I believe it should be 9 inches away from the highest basking branch otherwise it should be elevated. Not 100% sure but that’s what I have learned. Or as long as your Cham isn’t screen climbing and could get burns.

    My New Updated Enclosure!

It defeats the purpose for sure, but when your first starting it is really hard to get branches and plants in stable place without dragon strands and branches. Especially horizontally, I’m sure it’s just temporary. And I’d say she’s using the shelves for stability. Better looking out for your...

    My New Updated Enclosure!

It looks good to me IMO! The shelves was a good idea. Maybe some more plants for foliage but I think you got the t8 light fixture which is a dessert la

    Lay bin

I want to get a lay bin started this week so it will be readily accessible to her when she’s ready to lay. I know the basics, need to use organic soil or play sand (10 inches high) but I have also read how it needs to be moist and that I should use both sand and soil. if someone could give me...

    New UVB

How would that comment be helpful at all to me lol? It was quite discouraging at first But reading back on these posts I do understand where he was coming from when you are so passionate about an animal and the specific care that they may not be reaching. But since I have joined the forums I...

    Veiled Chameleon possibly sick

This is where I got mine, I got this exact one. It’s not too expensive and you most likely won’t have to upgrade the cage again. https://www.diycages.com/collections/vertical-screen-reptile-chameleon-cages/products/sc4-48x24x24-jumbo-vertical-screen-cage I got the uvb t8 which I could also...

    Veiled Chameleon possibly sick

I just wanted to add something after reading all of this, I have a 5 month old veiled as well, but she is a female and a bit smaller. I thought her cage size was adequate, it was around the same size as yours. But I was having the same problem as you mentioned when you said “he likes being...
