ok I don't mist him directly because I use a mistking but he does sleep in a spot overnight where his back and top of his head does get misted. Should I do anything about that?

I like it a lot. If you have a mistking you have to make your own drainage system and have to come up with some creative way to hang your plants and branches. Otherwise everything else works flawlessly!
