    Respiratory Infection?

Noticed my male gaping quite a bit this morning. Outside temps aren’t hot. I’m assuming it’s a respiratory infection. I will bring him into the vet asap. Please let me know if it could be anything else. Husbandry: Kept outside in a 2x2x4, he drinks from drippers during the day, mistking at...

    Cloacal Prolapse

Hello, My male Jackson had an extreme cloacal prolapse yesterday, so I rushed him to the vet. I unfortunately do not have photos of the prolapse, but it was quite bad compared to other photos I have seen on the forums. How can this be prevented in the future? Is it a feeder issue? Hydration...

    Outside enclosure

I keep my Jackson’s outside for most of the year in Huntington Beach/Costa Mesa. You just need to make sure the species you are keeping can withstand the heat, the cold, and lack of humidity in you area. Since I am very close to the coast, my temperatures are very mild for the most part, but can...

    Mountain Dragons Book 10/10

Hello, I recently got the mountain dragons book, and there are some crazy chameleons in here. The book goes over the locations the author visited and the chameleons found there. I definitely recommend it if you want to see some cool chameleon variety. Thanks

2 days not eating, Male Jackson Xanth

He has been moved inside, so let’s see if his basking lamp will help at all. I usually feed dubias, BSFL, crickets, and silkworms. I will try and get him to eat with some superworms if I can find them. Not the most nutritious, but I know he goes crazy for them. Thanks!

    Friend’s Improper Husbandry

Hello, I bothered my friend to get new uvb bulbs and he followed through with it. I measured with the solarmeter and it read 12 UV index right at the bulb, and 3 at the basking branches (about 6-7 inches away). I’d say the next thing here after uvb is proper nutrition. Properly gutloaded...
