Breeding Age - Older Male Veiled

It's from a fairly reputable breeder and site sponsor. Just curious if a chameleon that age can "perform" or if they might be using the image to promote stock from a different chameleon. Don't want to call bullshit on them if it can legit be the sire.

Breeding Age - Older Male Veiled

I am finishing up a couple new enclosures and began looking for occupants. Noticed a listing for veiled sire with an available clutch, poked around a bit and found photos on the interweb of same chameleon dated 2013, appeared to be adult/sub-adult at that time. Made me suspicious. Thoughts?

Hi I am a beginner and I am planning on buying a Chameleon soon what types are good and cool?

The cost of the chameleon should not matter, the real money is spent on the habitat and how you want it to look. If you don't have at least $500-$1,000 to invest then wait and save. A couple hundred dollar difference in the "main show" should not make the difference. Was considering the...

    Help with humidity levels please

I think your meters are messed up. Gonna dive into the weeds a bit. Assuming your meters are measuring relative humidity (not absolute humidity). Relative humidity is relative to temperature and is an expression of the % moisture capacity of the air at that temperature. Hot air holds more...

Best single plant for an enclosure

Pothos is a relatively fast grower. Like most plants it will take some time to establish roots. Don't expect a jungle in a week but will establish faster than most plants. Growth rate depends on the amount of moisture and nutrients in the soil, it does not need too much light - indirect...

Best single plant for an enclosure

Just one? Pothos. Simple, safe, hard to kill and branches grow as vines that can be draped throughout the enclosure and will support a veiled. My original pothos from more than 10 years ago has been divided and is now about 15 plants.

    Old cham health questions

Thanks Jann! - as a behind the scenes follower of this site for many years I value your opinion. Overfeeding is very likely. We spend so much time trying to hand feed him worried he's not getting enough and never consider he might be getting too much. The key word being "we" (I have a retired...

    Old cham health questions

MadEye is about 6 years old. Good healthy life until recently. About 6 months ago his vision went and tongue stopped shooting and have been hand feeding. He still eats well, has good color and a firm grip. What has me concerned is over the last few days has developed bulges on top of the head...

Interesting topic. This comes down to understanding the limitations associated with using a message board/forum as a source of information. Most of the information posted is based on observations of individuals (or some parroting observations made by others). Very few statements or...
