    new cage build!

I realized that I've been having so many problems with my cage because my wood frame has warped into all sorts of nasty angles. I'm not even sure it'll be usable. Really sucks cause I've dumped hundreds of $$$ into it but, well, lesson learned. Don't use cheap lumber for your frame. How's your...

    Lets take some glamour shots!

Gorgeous little dude! I love the first pic, he's clearing throwing us the middle finger :D I usually don't name any pets unless they're warm blooded, but after having my chameleon for a few weeks a name started to form in my mind... I don't know why, but I started to think of him as Toby, and...

How Could I Be So Stupid!!!

Thanks for sharing your setup. What a great use of track lighting :) Your poor male does definitely look stressed, though he's a beauty. I think he's got a great chance at coming back from this honest mistake with a caring keeper like you seem to be. Please keep us updated on their conditions!

    new cage build!

Great idea, using PVC instead of wood! I've been building a wood cage for over a month now, and I'll tell ya it's a lot harder than you'd think (if you don't know what you're doing, like me!).

    When superworms get too "super"

Ohh, what kinda tarantula do you have? I've got a metallic pink toe, and I never considered giving it a super! Then again I've never even seen it eat, so...

Not a fan of outside time?

Crash, how long did it take for Leif to learn to relax and enjoy his outside visits?

Not a fan of outside time?

It was a happy tangent, Kimmy. Happy tangents are always allowed :) Whenever I get Toby out he just tries to run away, either climbing up my arm or rearing on his back legs and "dancing" until I put him on the Jasmine plant. Occasionally he turns to the dark side and starts snapping at me, the...

Not a fan of outside time?

Hah! That makes more sense :) Still, no worries. That's maybe not the most PC description, but I know exactly what was meant by it. Any advice on how to best keep my little dude happy and chill? I really want to give him as much natural sunlight as I can while the weather's nice, but don't...

Not a fan of outside time?

No insult taken here. If I thought I knew what I was doing I wouldn't be seeking advice :) Thanks for your courtesy, though. What's the best way to acclimate him and reduce temp change stress? He has spent entire weekend days, up to 8 hours at a time, in his vacation home. He still freaks out...
