    Raining in the outdoor enclosure

What an ingenious idea =) Seems perfect for an extra little splash now and then!

    Our temporary turtle friend

I live in Western NC, too, and they're just about everywhere in this state. I grew up in the sticks and remember people talking about making turtle soup out of them. It's cool that you got to show your kid such an awesome critter, and I'm glad no one got hurt!

These pictures were taken 2-3 minutes apart!

Oh wow, he's great looking! I really like how his yellow bits seem to outline other colors.

    GodZilla's Custom Enclosure

Great work! And so quickly! Hopefully the drainage bits are removable, and the plants may want more light, but beyond that I've got no suggestions to make :D

How do you guys feed roaches???

I have the same issue, and had to cup feed BOC (great phrase) for the longest time. Those were basically just super worms and crickets, but at least the supers are really easy to breed. I can now semi-reliably hand/tong feed dubias, especially if I can get the males to flap their wings. I just...

    Panther angry at LED reptibreeze

Can he borrow your lipstick, @ChameleonTide ? :p I may have to do something lke that @Alexander1 . I like the cage and the clear view but it's not worth all the stress I'm sure it's causing him.

    Panther angry at LED reptibreeze

I bought one of the new LED reptibreeze cages with an acrylic door. It's a nice cage, but Toby is often fired up and puffed out at the big chameleon who now shares his cage and lives in the reflective door. Is there anything I can do to help him from seeing his reflection in the door, and...

    Female panther panting

The vet said that my female panther looks nice and healthy, with good bone strength and a healthy looking mouth. She couldn't say what caused the hole in my girls jaw or when, but it was likely some physical trauma and not an illness or infection. She also thinks she's been leaving her mouth...

    Female panther panting

I called around to a few exotic vets and found one with walkin availability today. We are in the waiting room right now.

    Female panther panting

I have only seen her "pant" that one time, but since the day I brought her home she's often left her mouth "cracked" just a bit. No tongue hanging out, acting normally, just doesn't fully seal her lips. She's always been fairly lazy and doesn't walk around much, but she is alert during daylight...

Can't find the feeder thread I'm looking for

I agree with keeping dubias as a staple, they're the best blend of healthy and easy to breed. Just make sure your cham will eat them before you go buying a colony! I'm SURE there are people in Houston with bugs to trade. If there aren't any on here then it wouldn't hurt to check gecko...

    Female panther panting

OK, so putting 1 and 1 together to get 11, you folks think she may be getting too hot because she's trying to get close enough to soak up some UVB? I was feeding her this afternoon and realized that what I previously disregarded as a bit of shmutz on her face is actually a bit of her lip...

    Female panther panting

The purple light is a led grow bulb. Looks weird at first but all of my plants reach for it ‍♂️ She doesn't have to sit there, she can go down into the hibiscus plant below there and still get partial light. That is where the light is strongest though.

Directly above it, about 4-5 inches. The gauge is about 2 inches above the baskingspot.
