    My New Panther!

That's the breeder I purchased my boy from a year ago, and he's doing well. I can't remember the breeders name but he's a real nice guy. I purchased a female panther from the other breeder at that show (so I wouldn't be inbreeding) and the ambilobe breeder was nice enough to give her a quick...

    Y'all, I am SO excited!

Have you considered "hand feeding" from tongs? That may be easier for you if handling bugs creep you out. I think that reverse tongs, the kind that stay closed till you pinch then, are easier to use than the normal, pinch to open variety.

    Custom Outdoor Enclosure

I saw that for sale and wished I lived locally so I could scoop it up!! Nice work!

Slight revamp of Verrucosus enclosure and he needs a name!

Very impressive enclosure! Lots of foliage but even more usable pathways. Can you pass any decorating tips along to us less artistically inclined folks?

asking for help. new chameleon owner.

I feel your pain, Connan. I had given up on interacting with my panther or even being able to see him eat, until last weekend... https://www.chameleonforums.com/threads/finally-eating-by-hand.158354/ The only thing I can advise is to be patient. Give him time to settle in and get comfortable...

    Dubias clicking?

Dang. Leave it to a chameleon forum to make you get teary-eyed over some cockroaches :,( I definitely have a couple of female roaches that I recognize it my ginormous colony, and for whatever reason I'd don't sell or feed off the recognizable ones. I had the same problem with a couple of pet...

    WTH is this kitchen lizard?!?

I was walking through my kitchen, headed to bed, when I noticed this little booger hopping away from me in the most distressed of ways. I caught him and put him in a spare tupperware container with a bit of ecoearth and spritzed him down, but I'm curious about its identity. My best guess is...

    Outdoor living for Panthers?

I recently heard of some people in my area of the southeast US keeping their panther chameleons outdoors 24/7 during the summer. Aside from the obvious concerns about enclosure security & predators, what are your thoughts on keeping a chameleon in an outdoor cage at all times during the warmer...

What do you think of my enclosure?

Looks great! I don't think a baby or even a juvie veiled would have anything but a fun time navigating that jungle. I'm not sure the plants will get enough light though, so they may thin out on their own.

Pulling the trigger on the Atrium Dragon Strand...

VERY cool setup, MedicMan1! Crisp, clean, but still natural looking. How did you set up drainage for your plants? I made some similar pots out of spray foam but I feel like the dirt stays too wet in there, so I don't get great plant growth.

    Dubias clicking?

Nope, never heard anything like that. I sold about 400 juvies and adults this past weekend and all I heard was scurrying as I was digging through my colony.

    My New Panther!

Did you get him from the Repticon near Charlotte, NC? If so, which vendor did you buy him from? I saw 2 panther chameleon vendors there, one who had a few different locales (CB and wild caught) and one who only breeds ambilobes.

    Finally eating by hand!

I've had my male panther, Toby, for over a year now, I reckon he's about 18 months old. He's always been a really picky eater, flatly refusing everything but crickets and super worms. He has three modes: asleep, shy, and p*ssed off. I've always (affectionately) referred to him as a jerk. After...

What eats grown dubia roaches and lives in a large exoterra?

Thanks again, Andee. I realized I'm derailing my own thread with my previous post, so I created a new thread here: https://www.chameleonforums.com/threads/possibly-overweight-female-panther-cute-pics.158329/

Possibly overweight female panther *cute pics*

Hey everybody, I purchased a female amiblobe panther chameleon this morning at a local reptile show. The seller said she's roughly 6 months old and hasn't been bred yet. She's super cute, and seems healthy, though its been mentioned in another thread...

What eats grown dubia roaches and lives in a large exoterra?

She is definitely a porker. I just got her this morning, so I'm not sure what she usually eats. She ate 3, .25-.5 inch roaches this afternoon (as you can see in the pic above) in one sitting before losing interest. I've got to admit, it was really satisfying to have her eat right from my...

What eats grown dubia roaches and lives in a large exoterra?

I guess my ignorance is showing, since I assumed being a cute lil chubber just meant she was healthy. Toby has always been such a picky eater that I never looked up OVERweight issues. Since she eats so readily I'll need to learn what to limit her to. Would you help enlighten me?

What eats grown dubia roaches and lives in a large exoterra?

He's a jerk, and she's got no table manners... I'm hoping it'll be a match made in heaven!
