Camo has Coccidia...and I will be changing exotic vets!

Thank you so much! I really appreciate it! After working, going to the vet, cooking, dishes, baths for kids, and breaking out her old set up out of the shed I am exhausted! Thank you, thank you!

That would be ideal except she isn’t eating yet. Maybe I can try once she feels better, but is still on meds. Thank you so much!

Camo has Coccidia...and I will be changing exotic vets!

Yes, this was her first fecal so no telling how long. She said it was “a lot” whatever that means. I think it’s in dirt but have just found out this evening so I haven’t had time to do much research. I’ve read a little on here but didn’t pay too close attention since it wasn’t something on my...

Yes, Bactrim. I plan on it but her poops are few and far between since she hasn’t been eating.

Camo has Coccidia...and I will be changing exotic vets!

Ok, I’ll put that on n hold. That was just what the vet told me so I’m not surprised with her giving me more incorrect advice!

Camo has Coccidia...and I will be changing exotic vets!

My plan is to use dilute bleach to sanitize her old cage even though it’s too small, I can do that tonight and get her in there and take my time to make sure I get her big one done right!

Camo has Coccidia...and I will be changing exotic vets!

So when I couldn’t get Camo to eat any more than 3 crickets and 4 or 5 superworms in the past 2 weeks I knew something was wrong. Turns out it’s coccidia. o_OI’m glad I know what’s wrong and she is being treated, but DANG! I JUST FINISHED ALL THAT WORK ON HER ENCLOSURE! I’m guessing a total...

Did some work on the enclosure...

Thanks, doing a little at a time. I thought I was finally done with the inside but she didn’t like her basking spot and was trying to bask on a plant that didn’t survive her constant trampling. I had to rearrange some things. It’s getting there.

Did some work on the enclosure...

I added a couple of plants and finally put her ladder up. Excuse the screen on the outside. I know it looks crappy. We still have to put a small piece of trim around it to hide the staples.

    Feeding receptive/gravid female

Thank you so much! I will continue with every other day then. I'm sure she will eventually get hungry enough to eat.

    Feeding receptive/gravid female

Thanks, so not eating is either a hunger strike or heath issue?

    Feeding receptive/gravid female

I have recently transitioned to feeding my ~7 month old female every other day. She is always a good eater! About a week ago she got her blue/yellow coloring. 3 days ago she abruptly stopped eating which I read was normal before laying eggs. I finally got her to eat 2 crickets today. My question...

Do I need to buy the Springtail Food?

Just wondering. I don't mind doing it, but don't want to waste my money if there is no need. I have in my "shopping cart" one culture from Josh's Frogs that says it should be enough for 2 or three terrariums. Is that enough? I have one large terrarium, but it has a LOT of soil since she will...
