Are you reading the images and links that have been give to you? PLEASE read those, and the links to other information here...use the search function for other information, and theres even a resources tab to help you with how to care for your chameleon. PLEASE stop trying to feed your chameleon...
Can you fill out the help form so we have a better idea of the husbandry? And another question I have is...the Vet that took care of your chameleon while you were on vacation, do you know what they were doing for him? Usually MBD comes from a lack of proper supplementation and UVB...
I'm not quite sure what you're referring to...the picture you posted were compact bulbs. The linear bulbs have prongs and the T8 and T5 refer to the diameter of the linear bulb and they are not interchangeable. If you buy a T5 linear bulb, you will need a T5 linear bulb fixture. If you buy a T8...
So far, my boy hasn't been aggressive at all...just elusive and hidey..I don't chase him down or try to force him out at all. I just stand really still with a feeder in my hand for about 10 minutes..he runs off to hide and won't come back out until I shut his enclosure again.
My boy is antisocial AF. From the moment I got him, he would run away from my hands even though I'm trying to offer him a super worm or horn worm, which are his favorite treats. (still does run from me) he hides while I clean his enclosure and generally wants nothing to do with me so far. I keep...
My boy came from the Newton bloodline! And yes...he takes great care of his chams. My boy is a healthy boy and growing like crazy! He just thinks I'm annoying. LoL
Mike just doesn't handle the chams at all.
No those are not. A T5 or a T8 bulb are linear bulbs....those pictured are compact bulbs and not ideal uvb output for chameleons. Please look in the resources area for the proper UVB suggestions...
Mike himself told me after I had recieved my boy, that he doesn't handle his baby chams at all. I wish I'd known that beforehand. I don't regret my boy, but that might have made me buy a veiled elsewhere if I knew that ahead of time.
Hi Vanessa,
I also have a veiled chameleon I bought from Mike at FLChams. I called and I also texted back and forth with him on several occasions. I know several people have had a hard time communicating with him. I personally didn't have that experience. He was good to me and my boy arrived to...
I'm sorry, but that vet sounds like a total imbecile to me. I hope your Cham lives a long and healthy life without ever needing to see that guy again. I think if you decided to seriously follow all that person's advice, I'm not sure that would happen. The red flags for me would be that he didn't...
The dirt needs to be completely removed. They can accidentally ingest it while snapping up their feeder crickets and it can cause impaction. Also, never put crickets in their enclosure at night after they're already asleep. Feed them to her in the morning after her lights are on for the day. You...
