You are not being a pain. I didn't mean that in a sarcastic kind of way. I ask because, as of late, I've noticed some things don't have the instruction booklet included. But some items have instructions where each piece is identified and pictured individually. I was just curious if yours was absent.
There are about nine trees in my neighbourhood. I hope to grow one for myself one day via a clipping. I have never made the chow myself, I've been buying it from the local pet shop, although they haven't been very reliable.
Where do you buy these?
Bombyx mori silkworms eat mulberry leaves, or you can get artificial food.
Every where I look, they say "the females lay eggs and die soon after" but, in my experience, my girls live like two weeks after doing so. My longest-lived female made 18 days before death.
Ok so they do need to be kept within a certain temperature range. Most of the time, I see people saying not to heat them, thus keep them in a warm room. Also, heating the eggs can dehydrate them. The temperature of the room can affect the time it takes to hatch. I think the given time frame is...
There are other species that are sometimes referred to as silk worms or silk moths. The mulberry silkworm (Bombyx Mori) is the one that you are talking about.
Other "silkworms" include the Tasar silkworms, the Tussah silkworms. Bombyx Mandarina is the wild relative to Bombyx Mori.
Actually, my first t impression was that this was some sort of puzzle to be solved. I may have been wrong, but I didn't burn many brain cells in the process. :ROFLMAO:
I'm guessing you'd have to know the storyline for the sinister twelve, perhaps what plots they tried, and then figure out what forum action would metaphorically represent a counter response to them.
Or if the member who has those 4 out of 7 trophies would say how he got those first 4, that...
I think that is the case. I always wait until they turn dark. It takes around three days, give or take. Mine usually turn light brown and then black. Once they have turned dark, they are in diapause.
I've had several occasions where they didn't go into diapause. In this instance, they do not...
Exactly! I didn't think anyone here would find that a good idea. I found it odd as well. They just tell me that they don't live long anyway. I only found out because I wanted them as pets, thus they weren't fed off before symptoms appeared. They only give you nine so I suppose a reptile would...
I just wanted to add an experience that I had with my local pet store that is relevant to the OP. I found that my local pet store sells silkworms as feeders, but they are negligent with them. The last time I was there, I saw one container filled with poop, no food and all the silks were slumped...
I've seen these before. Those are the pupae of the silkworm. It's what you'd get if you open a cocoon. That's why they aren't white. It's not a silkworm but a silkworm pupa.
From what I've read, they get all the hydration that they need from their food. I do not think it was "lack of water". Mine do not get water, and I am on generation 4.
While it's true that a black spot (the Kego;s head) will be visible before hatching, something in this picture just looks a little off to me. I'm not a professional, it's just that some of these spots seem too big or too central. Mine often have the head appear towards one end of the egg and the...
