He's here! No name yet but he crawled right out of the container he was shipped in and onto my hand and then into his cage. I did see him drink and he has crickets in case he is hungry after his long journey.
Trying to let him explore on his own right now but it's a serious struggle not to...
We have a new little one coming tomorrow. Gizmo's cage was dismantled after he passed away and cleaned out. Got to reattach some vines and branches before this little guy shows up tomorrow morning! We are all excited to meet him. He's coming from Florida Chams and is from Driskel's line.
Rest in peace sweet Gizmo. He passed 3/27/19 due to old age. He was an unexpected pet and probably one of the best surprises we ever got. He will be beyond missed.
So it's been several months since Gizmo came to live with us. His cage, lighting, misting, feeding etc have all been upgraded since he first came home and I think we have finally hit on the right amount of plants, branches, vines and privacy to make him happy.
Any time I feed, water or clean...
I'm not an expert but I think it's all good :) Some yellow is ok. There are people on here that know way more than I do though, so hopefully they weigh in soon.
My 2 nephew is coming to stay with me for a week soon. I'm working on 'babyproofing' Gizmo's cage to minimize the stress this will have on Giz. So far I've created a foam privacy fence on the bottom 1/3 of his cage, and I'm considering erecting some sort of fence so he has to stay back a few...
Mine doesn't love to be handled and feels safe in his cage. I bring him out when necessary but not too often. He's still getting used to us, and I'm not sure what his prior home was like. Don't want to stress him
Here is a peek inside Gizmo's jungle. Finally got his big boy cage from Dragonstrand! Planning to add a few more lower horizontal branches in addition to the vines he has down there, and his new much nicer UVB light is supposed to be delivered tomorrow.
