I heard you can use a dishsoap and water mixture and spray on the plants.. but i'm not sure if that's healthy for a chameleon. I have little black flies all over my house from the potted plants.
I've been using these halogen par30 45W bulbs.. quite cheap and long lasting. I'm no expert but it has been throwing good heat and so far 6+ months with no burnouts. 85-90 degrees 6-8 inches below the light...

Isn't 12% more for desert animals like bearded dragons and 6% for forest animals... like chameleons? I'm curious now especially since i just paid almost $200 for an arcadia 4 bulb t5HO with a 6% UV bulb :-/
I bought a 18 x 18 x 18 screen exo terra cage from a local reptile store. You can check amazon if local stores are too pricey. I just like to spend local if i can afford to. You'll either need a double lamp (1 for heat, the other for UV) or 2 separate ones. Depending on how old the chameleon is...
Oh I see. that's a bummer. Yeah I felt the same about Driskel so i had to buy one. Mine has mostly the same colors and patters except not so much blue. some turqoise is coming in but i'm doubtful Toruk will get the blues that Driskel has.
