This made me chuckle with great depth and quality. Thank you.

    Darkstar the Cheerful Ambilobe

That's awesome! What a handsome guy! BEAUTIFUL colors! My rescued Sambava is growin like a weed right now at 16 months (he was extremely small and dim when I got him at 14 months). Still haven't named him yet. I'm thinking about Smaug because he's a GRUMP. Definitely a little bit on the grouchy...

Just curious if Im the only one.... find it odd that no one else mentions their cham doing this .

My Panther is sort of sensitive to light when he sleeps, but otherwise seems pretty out of it. We can stomp around and bump his cage and he usually doesn't flinch. It's funny when he does wake up though because he gets super goofy and apparently can't think straight, and nearly falls off of...

What are ur cham favorite types of food

My Panther is absolute creeping death for crickets (his FAV) and waxworks/grubs. He also greatly enjoys Dubia roaches and mealworms. I haven't fed him silkworms or horn worms yet.

The chameleon with no name, a journey of love and patience (VERY PIC HEAVY).

@Striders_mom , thank you for the kind words! It's been a journey, and isn't over yet. It will continue to be updated and told ;) As for the lighting, in all my research, I believe that the general consensus is that Arcadia is just about the best setup that you can purchase. They're made in...

The chameleon with no name, a journey of love and patience (VERY PIC HEAVY).

Yeah it stung a little. I think the total came to $1,100 with shipping (good lord, Dragon Strand charges $100+ for fed ex express!). He's worth it though. He is a little life, with a little soul, that I willingly invited into my home. I would be remiss in my duties as a keeper (I hate the term...

    A Year in the Life

Such a pretty panther!! I love the story, my Panther gives me anxiety also. They're too smart for their own good.

Can anyone tell me or guesstimate how my old my boy is?

I agree with the others here. He's only a few months old. It's not practical to say precisely how old because of the countless variables, but I'd say four months maximum. That's even a stretch. If I had to bet money, I'd bet on two and a half months. He looks healthy, so 2-3 is most likely the...

Lilly the parsonii passed away :(

So sorry to hear of your loss friend. What a pretty little giant she was. I hope the days coming bring knowledge and closure. I like to hold services for my pets who pass over the years. I find it helps. Invite a few friends over and say a few kind words. Much love and positive energy your way.

    Holy HUGE, Batman!

Oh I forgot. I got the basking lamp dimmer switch too, to be able to fine tune the exact temp I want. Fancy. Thank you Todd and Bill for raiding my bank account. LOL.

    Holy HUGE, Batman!

You're my inspiration. I just ordered the same atrium cage. I also got the drip tray, a MistKing, a 48" Arcadia Quad Light setup, another basking lamp (better than what I have), and a fancy smancy solar output thermometer. I'm broke. It's all ramen noodles from here on out. Can't say I don't...

The chameleon with no name, a journey of love and patience (VERY PIC HEAVY).

Thank you all for the lovely comments and well wishes. I made a big purchase today. The little guy has a Dragon Strand clear side atrium 24x48x48, a MistKing (upgraded), and some heavy duty lighting supplies from Arcadia on the way as of this evening. Can't say I'm not committed. This...

The chameleon with no name, a journey of love and patience (VERY PIC HEAVY).

I stand corrected! I just took another look and they have both 48" and 24". I will contact the owner and request notification for when the 48 comes back into stock. I made a profile and added it to my wishlist. Thanks a million!

The chameleon with no name, a journey of love and patience (VERY PIC HEAVY).

Thank you! Lucky is a very good suggestion! I will write that down and strongly consider it!! I was mostly joking about him listening to me and cocking his head. I know that chameleons as a whole do not have keen hearing. I tell my girlfriend that he is completely deaf and can't hear a thing...

Rescued Sambava Panther, humbly requesting recovery guidance.

I haven't ordered one yet but I am definitely going with the 24x48x48 clear side atrium. The biggest one possible.

Rescued Sambava Panther, humbly requesting recovery guidance.

I want to thank you all for your advice. Because of your guidance, little man is now quite healthy and happy. I have decided to open up a new thread to chronicle his journey and life, and will continue to update things over there, as it is no longer an issue of health and recovery (thanks to...

The chameleon with no name, a journey of love and patience (VERY PIC HEAVY).

Hey there everyone. I started a thread a while back in the Health Clinic section regarding advice on how to care for a Sambava Panther Chameleon that I rescued in somewhat rough shape. Long story short, I received some amazing advice and my little guy is now quite fat and happy. I wanted to...
