Can i use fine aquarium sand to put into the laying bin instead of play sand? There is no play sand in our country.
It is the aquarium sand i mentioned :
Here is my friend Chamillion's male Panther cham. We don't know what his locale is. Is he an Ambanja, a Blue Bar Ambilobe, a Red Bar Ambilobe or a cross?
Thanks! :)
Actually i already read your blog "Info for new keepers with young veiled or panther chameleons", i gave her just 3 medium Locusts every 3 days and i put the basking lamp higher but maybe it was still too close and hot. If i can't find a male in a month i will try to put the lamp...
You can feed chameleons with Locust. Actually if you can feed him/her with more than one type of insect it will be better. Crickets, Locusts, Silkworms, Roachs, Horworms, Superworms (rearly) and Mealworms (rearly) for examle.
Thanks! Being a chameleon owner is one of the best things in the world, but there is not many chameleon owner in Turkey, it makes my girl more special and pretty. :D I am so lucky. :)
Lol, she is a bookworm. :)
So, I am there again. :) Montia, my girl have grown (she is not much bigger than last photo actually), now she is approximately 1 years old and layed 75 infertile eggs since October. She layed 3 times (1- 27 eggs, 2- 21 eggs, 3- 27 eggs). I have tryed to feed her less and make basking area...
They are all really amazing and cute! :D
I will go to Essen, Germany in June and i will go to Amsterdam with train for some hours. But i think even if i take a chameleon i can't bring it to Turkey with plane. Airlines don't want any animals in plane accept dogs and cats. :(
Thanks! I will try it, if it works it will make easier to have chameleons and they can drink whenever they want. :) But changing the water and cleaning the bottle every day can be hard if we have many chams.
