Hi there! I use baby tears in my day gecko viv!! I got mine from Lowes. I have also seen them at Home Depot from time to time. Just make sure they get a decent amount of light or else they die off.
The main reason is humidity retention. Second I like the way the clear front works. I am leaning more towards the Dragon Strand. I wish I just had room for a 24x24x48 :/

Basking temp about 80-85. 75 in the middle. Bottom I'm not to sure last time I checked I believe it said 72.
