I find those horn worms to be the nastiest... they so plump and when he chews them its like ewwwww... my chameleon didn't care for them much he ate 2 and then didn't have anymore... 8 wasted, they on pricey side too...
ive leaned away from crickets theyre too hard to keep alive and breeding...
Looking good. Def a start, one suggestion though. Turn your Uvb.. the other direction so it hits the whole length of the enclosure. The more uvb exposure to the whole enclosure the better. I wanna see a close up of the lil one :)
Question , do you wet the hatchrite, white material. Or just put drops of water here an there I’m corners? To keep moisture or do you just put eggs in the dry formula?
Oh yes, I forgot bout ficus I have a small one in his enclosure, wanted to get bigger one for house an to bring outside. And since they're good in indirect light it should survive winter inside
Nah I was sitting very close... we have stray cats around too .. not as many as we used to thankfull but never know... i have such a horrible green thumb I had a majesty palm I wanted for outside so he'd have something high to chill in ... brought it in over winter n it died lol.. may have to...
He tried going on the grass at one point, I know chams feel safer up high, was he feeling unsafe or is it OK for a cham to walk on grass for a few moment? It was his first time so I am not surprised if he was nervous
So my enclosure is pretty dense... so always had trouble getting him out, now I noticed he's trusted me more and more over past few months, no more flare ups but still hesitant to come more then 2 feet onto my hands but i tempted him out with super worms and finally was able to get him out...
I uploaded a few photos of his legs in multiple positions, (the one with his face in feeding bowl is not bent it’s just how he’s holding himself on the bowl)
I am not concerned cause I’ve been keeping my husbandry very stable and give him his vitamins n calciums, with an without D. My chameleon...
Well his eyes don’t look too sunken to me. So that’s a good sign. His unrates. In the first photo looked white on the end and then turned orangey on ends. Which can be normal. As long as 90percent of it is white your Ok. pale Orange is okay for few days just keep checking. If urates are dark...
Could be close to a shed... it's normal I've had same concerns in the past. Just give some time. My blue chameleon looked very light green/blue for 2 weeks I grew concerned but he good now
