Yea.. usually 60w suffices ... you just want it about 87-92 least 6 inches below the bulb. Try not to put the vine or branch touching the screen where bulb sits...
I didnt read every comment. But, you kind of want a significant jungle gym of connecting branches and vines from mid way to top of the enclosure. Its rare youll find your chameleon prefers being lower then that. Unless its cooling down or sleeping. And yeah definitely NO night light.... 12 hours...
It was such a nice day.. overcast but plenty of sunlight i was hoping to attempt bringing my guy out but he likes chilling in the back of his enclosure where there are close knit vines... so even if i got him on my hand if i attemped to pull him out he prob would have immediately reaches n...
Oof! So basically its rare and most likely happens when theyre not expecting you there. You gotta really startle them... does it leave a bad mark? It doesnt go to deep tho im guessing. Im sure youd have a nice line of puncture marks tho.
Id be afraid of them biting and latching on...
So i live in NY its still in 40s n 50s right now. I want to start bringing my cham outside for some real sunshine. I know they sensitive to the cold so what temp do you recommend waiting till it hits outside to let him bask? Mid 60s?
Lol why you attacking me ( i know your rlly not ) im the one who agrees.. it all depends on the color kelvin scale... i had a planted aquarium and LEDs did wonders for it
Its not necessarily JUST the wattage its the color scale/range, as well... plants do very decent under LEDs but obv better under the proper plant bulbs
Yeah i have it too i just switched the bulb to a arcadia... i think its great it. Works well for plants and solidly lights up the enclosure for viewing.
