I only have one cham and shes a veiled but I did a LOT of research and many friends have had chameleons and have had a lot of trouble with the really expensive ones like the Panther Chameleon which tends to be around $300.

You definitely need more foliage. And as far as the colors, Is it typically brown or black? Because if so Black tends to mean stressed out and Brown is restless. I'd add some foliage and see how she reacts.
The color brown, as seen in some of your photos, means restless. But younger chams especially veiled tend to take about 6-9 months in general for the bright colors to come in. Other than that he seems very happy and cute!
